When I was 17, my dad bought a Ford Focus RS. Driving this new GR Corolla brought me back to 2016, and reminded me what it feels like to drive a proper AWD hot hatch.

I’m totally in love with hot hatches, I think the appeal for me is how they are transformed from essentially an entry level pedestrian mode of transport, into something incredibly special and serious performance car . Whereas a dedicated sports car is built with that specific purpose from the start , the way a humble hatchback can be transformed into a serious driving machine. How do I know ?, 4 of my last 6 cars have been hot hatches including my current car , an FK8 CTR and with an FL5 on the way , the trend continues 😁
