I rode to elementary and middle school in one of these back in '90s. My best buddy back then lived across the street, was his dad's car. yup, ours burned oil from the first oil change. The shady used car dealer must have used some thick oil or adaptive to keep it from smoking. I distinctly remember someone waiving my father down because they thought the car was on fire it burned oil so bad. Our family has never again owned a Chrysler product.

I bought a 1993 Plymouth Voyager 5 speed with the 2.5 almost 3 years ago during COVID for $500. I put almost 30k kilometers on it and it has cost me nothing but oil, gas, and $10 brake pads. Chryslers in the late 80's and early 90's were AMAZINGLY well built and designed, the 2.2/2.5 is a great motor, super simple!@@Cyrix2k

My grandma had one of these from the late 90s to about '08, many fond memories of that car. Something went out in it engine wise, so she sold it and got a '91 F-150, which I now own since she's passed. Super cab short bed, 4x4 with the 351. I converted it from EFI to carb a while ago, with a 2 barrel from a 78 Thunderbird. That truck is the reason I got into Fords, and by extension, finding your channel. So it's interesting to see things sort of come full circle!

I owned that exact model and color of car for 6 months! My friends nicknamed it the White Rocket because just like every other car I owned up to that point, I drove it like a race car everywhere I went, and it was funny as hell. It lasted exactly 6 months because I burned up the first transmission in 3 months, slapped another one in there and 3 months later that one started howling like a banshee, so I swore off dodge ever since. Day it did that I took my sisters for a hell ride in it out back of my parents house and when it quit moving because of that trash dodge transmission, I redlined it hoping to send a rod out the side of the block before dragging it to the junk yard. Turns out those 3 liter V6's were pretty stout because it never did, and the engine got so hot it melted the seals in the valve cover which dumped oil all over the red hot exhaust manifolds and burned it to the ground. That was fun dragging my little sisters out of the car while my mom screamed at me for almost killing her girls. Then I went in and saved my Craig tape deck and portable CD player before it got into the passenger compartment but I forgot about the CD holder in the visor! Lost all my best CDs in that fire. I was heart broken. But that car was a lot of fun when the trans wasn't slipping. Smoked quite a bit but she was a strong running engine otherwise.
