Sadly, the Law is Blind. However, I was not previously aware that it is also stupid and deaf. The Sexual Motivation Evidence may have been Circumstantial... But is was pretty much clear to everyone in Court that this played a major role in Tia's tragic end. It is damn certain that he didn't kill her to get hold of her Pokémon Collection!

That’s not true. It’s not inappropriate at all. Most men don’t do anything to children. And there’s no difference in leaving your children unsupervised with someone’s boyfriend or husband (if they have been with them for a while and it’s known they can be trusted). lol But I do believe we should all be careful with leaving our children alone with any man or woman.

@@michellepaul8514 I think you might want to look up statistically what the most likely scenario for a young girl to be molested is. It is overwhelmingly most probable to happen by non-blood related male that is close to the family. It is absolutely inappropriate for a 12 year old to sleep over alone with a male step grandparent. I’m really hoping you’re not the mother of young girls, because this is just complete common sense to me. This. Women who date when they have children are often so irresponsible. They leave them together unsupervised. They let them stay the night in the same house. They introduce them to the children within weeks. They gush to the children about how great they are, how happy they are together - then they wonder why the children don't speak up. They never even have conversations with the children to teach them about consent, and that if this man ever says or does anything you don't like, tell me immediately. Etc. It is infuriating how preventable it is. But they value d-ck over their children's physical and mental health? Terrible parents.

Try to look at it with a legal lens, instead of an emotional "what a monster" lens, if you can. It was clearly explained in the video, but I will explain it to you again: It could not be proved that the murder was sexually motivated... Obvs the rape was sexually motivated, but the motivation for murder could well have been "oh shit, now i'm scared she'll tell on me, better make her disappear". There is no way to prove it based on what he is willing to admit, so legally it ca't happen.

I knew families like this growing up. Bringing in people who are creepy & several family members sleeping with same people. Kids poorly taken care of or left to their own defenses and put in the care of dangerous people. Frankly, the adults all seemed stupid & almost animalistic in a way. They weren’t mean to people or doing obvious crimes. They were just concerned with playing/drinking & had sex with random people. Then they’re shocked when something bad happened. House burned down w/one bc they had a bonfire right next to the house. Animals all died inside and child was so badly burned she was deformed. Another women dated a known pedophile. Left her daughter in his care but was shocked when it turned out he was abusing the little girl. There are people who are adults but something isn’t right in their mental capacity/ awareness. Sadly, they often have kids and the cycle continues with each generation.

The crime deserved a whole life tariff. Hazel's voyeurism and creeping into her room to "watch" her, no doubt had sexual gratification for him, or he wouldn't do it. He was waiting for the opportunity to come and when it did he took it. He had a total disregard for Tia's life and sexually objectified her, taking post mortem posed photos to fantasise over what he did. Everything points to a sexual deviant motive and solely to act out his twisted desires. Many sexual offenders who murder their victims are often viewers of violent p0rn0graphy, killing by strangulation, a slow death where the offender will "toy" with letting the victim breathe, then crushing their windpipe again, giving the offender the ultimate power over their victim. If Tia's cause of death could've been proven and DNA backed up sexual motivation, I'm sure the judge would've ordered a whole life tariff. However those memory cards provide evidence of that and Hazel would've committed further crimes of this nature had he not been arrested (as Pitchfork will now he's been paroled in his 60s, his crimes were proven to be sexually motivated, he was given a Whole life tariff, but because he did music manuscript conversion into braille his sentence was appealed and lowered) This justice system is a disgrace. The courts protect sex offenders, every psychologist says they CANNOT be rehabilitated and if paroled "young enough" they WILL REOFFEND. Its disgusting and an embarrassment to every English citizen
@simonw1313
@simonw1313 2 жыл бұрын
Ever considered paragraphs? That's unreadable. A quick scan suggests you're over committed to the details of sexual crimes and speculating wildly about this. A full life tariff would have been applied if the judge was sure beyond reasonable doubt that the victim was killed purely for sexual satisfaction as opposed to silencing her. Whether you or I agree with that or not is besides the point. It is how a sentence is formulated under the law. Besides that the idea that he'll ever be released is slim to non-existent. He'll die in prison.

@@Aurora-do2rv - The distinction is about whether he murdered her for sexual pleasure or not. My question is, why do they bother to bring in dogs if none are cadaver dogs? Even the dogs didn’t pick up her scent…. Ok…he would have carried he up to the lift. But surely, one cadaver dog, just to be safe. But, tbh, I can also understand how the human in a police officer would not believe a she could be in her loving family’s home. RIP Tia.

Women stop letting your boyfriends watch your little girls. I don’t know how many stories cause I have lost count of boyfriends killing their girlfriends kids, grandkids or sexually abusing them.. I don’t care how good they get along or how much your daughter may like him it’s not a good idea. Especially she just met the guy and at a pub of all places. First red flag he moves in with her. He is a grown man why does he not have a place of his own!! Looks like a using bum from the get go I would think. Then not minding and allowing a 12 year old little girl to spend time with him even alone!! I’m sorry as a mother there would be no way in hell that would happen . Wtf were these people thinking? A decent guy wouldn’t even feel comfortable doing that and would say so as well.. Those two things be enough for me to say adios !! The cops in this story baffle me the most.. They checked the home 4 times with dogs even ,read again ,4 times before they found her body in the attic 😮..Is the police force ran by Barney Fife?? Why in the hell wasn’t the attic checked the first damn time? I’d be embarrassed to be called a law officer after that.. Poor judgment on parents horribly ran police Dept ohh and don’t even get me started on that pos judge!poor child never stood a chance!! May she R.I.P.

I remember this, it was all over British news, and the entire nation was hoping against hope she had ran away and was safe. And thoroughly sickened at the tragic outcome. Hazel had been with Tia's mum before getting with her gran. All because he had got obsessed with Tia. And to walk ahead of the family when a search party was looking for her, holding a candle,knowing exactly where she was and what he had done to her. Why Police missed finding her several times in house searches at her gran is unfathomable. Hot summer, how did they not notice a smell? Put a monster like this into a room full of mothers and let them rip him apart. Sickening.

Three things struck me about this tragic story at the time: Her mother & grandmother were not astute or perceptive in the least to have allowed her to spend time unsupervised with this virtual stranger. (Or perhaps they were just lax & unconcerned.) Her murderer - who had clearly been grooming her for some time - had zero human feeling or emotion. His on camera lies were scarily effortless. The police made an utter, utter fuck up of their 'search'. More than once.
@amemelia
@amemelia 2 жыл бұрын
sadly you kind of expect the police to be useless, thousands of people reporting all sorts of problems yet nothing and no care, no reports and nothing then become surprised when the situation escalates. the amount of murder cases you can watch where you want to scream at police because they do jack shit, reports of abuse yet dont look into them, well known offenders. to have any trust in police must be a privilege because for many sadly, it's not surprising when the police continue to fail time after time when so many individuals have no hope with police. the videos were scary because usually when the murderer makes an appeal they usually say the wrong thing and slip up but he was so good if he wasnt the murderer i honestly think it sounded normal... thats the sick part

@@amemelia There are good & bad in all professions. We tend, as a populace, to hold the police to a higher standard (&, to an extent, they should be) but all law enforcement officials are human & by their very nature humans are flawed. In this case, however, having searched & found nothing *multiple* times, I think those officers were inept, utterly, utterly inept.

I bet she does...that's an awful situation. But, I bet there were so many red flags that they knew about that were probably never told to the police...like the peep hole and filming her beforehand. How do you miss something like that happening in your own home. I don't care if you work graveyard shifts 12 hrs/5 times a week. You would see the difference in behavior of both the abused and abuser. ESPECIALLY if they are YOUR partner/EX-Step-Dad and YOUR own child or grandchild. SO many people failed this beautiful, purposeful, sweet little girl. I pray her soul rest 🙏 😔
