A Christmas Reindeer - Animated film

Hey guys, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the awesome comments. My wife and I make these videos in our spare time and we absolutely love making them. I read each and every comment, but I don't have time to reply to them all. We love the feedback both good and bad and will keep striving to make the best short stories we can. Hearing how much these little shorts touch you, makes this so much fun for us. The Christmas Reindeer short was originally just going to be about Rudolph...and we actually fully animated the entire thing and even started coloring him with his shiny red nose(imagine the same animation, but he had the shiny nose)...but then I found out that Rudolph is a copyrighted character and I wouldn't be able to release the film(live and learn). So instead of just throwing the short away, my wife and I came up with this idea about a Reindeer who had a big dream. Some of you guys commented on the story not making 100% sense...that is the reason. It doesn't work perfectly, but we didn't have time to redo all the animation...So instead of making fun of his nose, we tried to make the story about them laughing at his big dream of being a part of Santa's sled team... we love making these little stories, and we look forward to making many more of them. So keep an eye open and the comments coming...although...they do take a while to make...so maybe keep both eyes open... Thanks so much, Gabe

I thought his color absolutely beautiful! 😍 And I'm anxious to see how this film will turn out to be if you made it like *"full length"* with a great story plot and a great climax too! You know, I'm honestly glad you guys didn't make this about Rudolph. While it's my favorite Christmas Story growing up, it's nice to see originality regardless of copyright. It's wonderful to see the time and effort you have spent on this short as well as the morale in the story. 'Dream big, work hard and you just may get there' is what I picked up from it. What's nice about it being a short is that you leave the imagination to the audience; the reindeer may not have been Rudolph, but a descendant and wanted to be a flier like his/her ancestor, while the other deer laugh like, 'how can you be Rudolph if you don't have a glowing nose?'. At least, it's what I picked up from it. Have a blessed New Year! ^^

It really sucks how much can define a kid's personality just because others make fun of his appearance... Luckily, this story ends up happy. Have nice holidays! Edit: since many people is saying that they might be laughing at his dream, that could also be a way to understand the short. It still sucks that children bully eachother constantly.

Animation hack: You can look at key frames using the comma and period on your keyboard when you pause, and I had to play this a few times and the slomo just for the other reindeers expressions. Love it.

Oh my God this is perfect. It really produced emotions for me. Reindeer are my favorite mythical creature since I was a child. I have a ton of Rudolph movies, so to see this it really brought me back to my childhood. It was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the animation and the message that comes with it. I thought it was because of the white stripe he had down his snoot the other guys didn't (monochrome butts), but I found the creator explaining: They meant the animation to be about Rudolph at the beginning but later found out the character was copyrighted so they decided to give him a normal nose and change his story to "He had a dream of leading the sled and they were making fun of that dream" (ALSO CREATOR IF YOU'RE READING YOU CAN EDIT THE DESCRIPTION AND PUT YOUR COMMENT THERE, OR PIN THE COMMENT YOU'D YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THX)
