Potato, you have 11 lake tiles if you include lake Retba (potentially 12 with another city south of Bergen) in your empire atm. Huey would take up 1 tile, giving you +10 production, +10 food in your empire and +3 local amenities (if you placed it right) for 710 production. The production alone would be refunded in 71 turns, not even counting the food and amenities it gives. Of course if you build harbors in bergen and Aachen this bonus would be slightly reduced. Huey could be massive for you this game.

Maybe after this campaing, a fun challenge could be to do a purchase unit challenge, were you are not allowed to build units (with maybe an exception to scouts/builders/settlers), but instead have to buy them with gold/faith. This probably will be difficult early game, but a challenge is always fun.

@@migatocomeoscuridad The AI, particularly on Deity squanders it's massive production boost and makes very questionable decisions regarding melee ships and small bodies of water. Combine this with civs that have unique melee ships and you'll find ponds teeming with biremes or viking longships. It's just a joke

You may not have had alot of land melee units, but your viking longships are naval melee units, and the +4 combat strength would apply to them. going from 30 Combat strength to 34 Combat strength would have been huge.

I appreciate its an old video but maybe someone on the comments can help. I was always told never to build cities so close that their borders can connect because it forces you to share resources. But here potato does it on deity. I honestly just think im beyond help on this game. I can't even win on Prince. I run out of time or someone wins before hand. I'm close to giving up haha

I can't understand that, the KI hest ca. 40 Sciences and Culture at turn 90 and no walls... How is this possible? In my deity game plays they have at turn 90 already 50 town strength and 120 science/ culture

I feel like you played a little bit sloppy on this episode. You bought the great general with faith when you were going to get it within a few turns and then you didnt even use it for a few turns. Also postponing the capturing of Aachen by 1 turn would have given you a bunch of production from the Warthrone thing.

Sorry PotatoMcWhiskey, I have to stop watching this series. The constant wiggeling around with the mouse, information boxes quickly moving around makes me seasick, and I am not even onboard a Viking Longboat. This does not take anything away from the skill you have mastering this game and teaching others how to beat the AI, at any level really. I just get dizzy.
