I have got a A112 junior as a daily. I am currently fixing the saggy rear end. The original brackets where rusted out so the leaf spring was almost falling out. I made a new bracket but it is still too low. I just poured new rubber blocks to lift the suspension +-15 mm. Mine has very similar rust problems. I started fixing the part with the door hinges by fabricating plates and get some practice before I start on other (visible) parts of the body. Good luck with the repairs. I am looking forward seeing the progress.

Great! Its a shame that the door panel is not available... but on the other hand its a good challenge.. :) Nice that you have a a112 as a Daily! Did the same 3 years ago and its a good daily classic... :)

Another great video...really going to enjoy seeing what happens. I agree that the A post repair will be a bit challenging but all things considered I think you have an excellent starting point. Its going to be great...keep the videos coming and thanks for great content 😀

A driving video with the car would ve great! I can't believe this car was used recently as a daily driver. I go to work by bus just to not leave my 106 Rallye under the sun everyday. Maybe i'm too careful but i would use a car like this Autobianchi just to purely enjoy it.

Ill make one when I have the time and the weather is fitiing.. :) Yes I know the feeling, but on the other hand, we only have one life, and saving something only means we dont get to enjoy it as much.... But I cant make myself drive a nice classic on salty roads... you can hear them rust while doing so...

Hey. I’ve been currently owning one for 15 years now. There is large community around this car in Europe. France, Italy of course and Netherlands too. A lot of parts are available used and new Even body parts. . You should first check the Facebook group simply called Autobianchi A112. Quite expensive parts for sale I think but a lot of great advices on repairs and improvements. If you need more infos dm Btw that’s a keeper.

Hey Yea its seems as Netherlands got a lot of interest in classic cars! I was close to actually driving there to get a engine for the R5GTT... It seems to be impossible to get the bodyparts where mine is rusted, the door post... all the other things are pretty easy to get... I hope... ;) Thanks !

How old is the car? I am sure you could fix most of the rust but the doors may be a problem. After all, you did a fine job repairing the metro that was full of rust and you also made good repairs to the Mini Cooper. Before you buy the heater matrix control you could really do with getting the matrix pressure tested just to check it won’t leak under pressure. The easy way is pump air into it while under water if, you have an air compressor. Then it could be worth the expense of a new control valve. Maybe Fiat did a similar part that would fit?

The car is a 1985 model. Yea I hope so! but it is seems to be a big job for me at least... but the car deserves it in my opinion.. :) Yes im going to do a pressure test on the matrix before reinstalling it... but it seems to not leak... I think im on the right track to get a new control valve! :)
