I have genetic hair loss, and the older women on my mother's side of the family are pretty much all bald. I started using minoxidil a year ago at 35 and a great deal of my hair grew back and thickened up. I see it like I see washing my hair which I will also have to do for the rest of my life or brushing my teeth. It's been a lifesaver for some of us.

My dermatologist said that since I experienced traction alopecia I won’t have to use it forever which is a blessing. As long as I don’t keep doing sew ins or tight ass styles like you said which is treating the problem

My client grew hair like a chia pet!!!!!! Hair started touching her eyebrows, she grew peach fuzz on her ears like babies out of the womb! It was crazy!!!! She stopped and it stopped and she kept her hair because her hair loss was telogen effluvium so it wasnt androgen induced

Thank you for sharing I was just diagnosed with Androgen Alopecia. I hope I spelled that correctly. It’s been a journey trying to figure out what my hair is not growing and why it sheds a lot . I was just prescribed the topical medication, Minoxidil. I have use Visviscal shampoo and conditioner for a few months. It makes my hair soft, but that’s it. I just watched your other video about the best vitamins you can have. It was helpful.

Thank you for all the research you do. I have been diagnosed with AA and Telogen Effluvium. My dermatologist after scalp test and blood work has placed me on Nutrafol. I have been on it for a month and have not noticed any hair growth. My hair shedding has reduced a lot but I must of lost half of my hair. So sad I’m considering going on topical Monoxidil on my front edges. Do you suggest anything? Also would HairScripts be good for me? Im Spanish with wavy hair?

Hey love - AA as in androgenic alopecia or Alopecia Areata ? This depends on what will work for you. But nutrafol is working for you because it’s slowing down the hair loss first. Keep using it and by 6 months you’ll see growth, and if you have androgenic alopecia ; you’re a great candidate for minoxidil

Very informative video. I have androgenic alopecia as well. I get steroid injections and have done this off and on for years. It helps mildly. I have a receding hairline. Your hair is gorgeous and healthy! What do you do? I watch your videos. I take the recommended pre natal pills and started Nutrafol a month ago. I use collagen as well. I do see an endocrinologist but feel as if my hair health isn’t a priority to them.

Hey girl ! No need to cry you’ve come to the right place and yes I was diagnosed with it too. It took a long time to get some density back in my hair AA tends to make your hair thinner by shrinking your hair follicle and the goal is to slow down that process ; activate stem cells to stimulate sleepy hair follicles And overall thicken your hair. It sounds complicated but I promise you it’s not it’s just work and consistency. First things first please work with a dermatologist to put you on a hair growth plan because your scalp is sensitive or inflamed they may need to treat that first . I promise you it will be okay but just keep working at it don’t give up. I’m here and you’re not alone; so start with the dermatologist first then we’ll take it from there

I don't have genetic hairloss. I have PCOS and I am overweight. Once i lose weight my symptoms should subside. I've been dealing with hair thinning for years but was able to grow it back with natural stuff. But I had a stressful few months and started losing hair again. I don't think I will need this forever but if i do it is fine.

@@Traysee379 have you tried using a bond repair and deep conditioning? i know when i had to apply something similar that was ethanol alcohol based and it dried out my curls i used the Redken acidic bonding concentrate intensive treatment after shampooing and skipped conditioner and did a deep conditioning mask once a week and i ran rosemary/Pumpkin seed/ black castor oil through my hair 2x a day and that really helped a lot. i was looking into minoxidil for my hashimotos issues and saw there was an alcohol free version i believe not sure how expensive it is compared to the normal but its oil based

I see a lot of people talking about the fallout after you stop using it. Ladies that have androgenic hair loss will more than likely have prolonged use of minoxidil. For the ladies that have traction alopecia you will not experience the fall out because your hair was pulled out the loss wasn’t hormonal or genetic. Please stop saying this lol because people like me are scared of trying something that may actually help them. Everyone is different and we all experience things differently. Speak with a healthcare professional if you have any questions before starting anything new. 🩷

My board certified dermatologist confirmed that if you stop taking minoxidil, your hair will fall out.. so basically when you start, you have to take it indefinitely. But the fact that it can affect reproduction is enough to "scare" me away. I noticed you said you're not a doctor.. I can tell you're passionate about this, why aren't you pursuing this in an "official" capacity?

I've been using this (walmart brand) since December along with Tresslite hair oil. It works very well. My hair was receding and falling out so bad. I was considering a hair transplant, it was that bad. And with age and genes would only worsen. The benefit is way greater the risk! I over joyed with my results.
