Williaso, Gordon Freeman is physically 27 in age in Half Life 2 because he was put into stasis after Half Life 1. He didn't age a day. Half Life 1 and Half Life 2 happen effectively within the same week to Gordon Freeman, from his perspective. So physically speaking, there's like a 3 year age gap between Alyx and Gordon Freeman.
