Cheyenne Mathews they will keep getting out of hand until people quit treating them like expensive hand bags. Nurseries where literally throwing philodendron pink princess away by the hundreds before this fad started.

I live in the islands,so very humid and my Philos take off. They are big and gorgeous. Now I need a tree for them to climb😊❤ lots of them I can't find here however.🙄

If you have fungus gnats in your greenhouse you should water them or spray them with a tea made from Mosquito Dunks. You can buy them at Lowe's. Will wipe them off the map!

I think it's funny how prices can differ so much. The verrucosum was sold on a big dutch plant site for 20 euros a while ago

I think that every plant once cut should be given time to completely dry before putting it into any medium. Also should be a disclaimer on the medium you recommend. Someone who overwaters should definitely not just do 1/2 and 1/2. Id add horticultural charcoal, pumice + more. Just some things people should be advised of since many of us watch these videos for educational purposes.

Thanks for all the great info. I just purchased/rescued a (8in pot) Burle Marx from a bottom shelf in Home Depot for $12.98, I didn't find any others. Leaves aren't all perfect (no browning, just a little tattered from where it was found) but it has 12 leaves larger than my hand👀. With 5 great aerial roots which should be shooting out some new growth soon. I feel like I got a great deal considering your price point! 🌱💚

Have you tried mosquito bites? I put them in the water I use to water my plants. I still let my plants dry out between watering, but not as much as before. I also use sticky traps to catch the gnats and monitor the population. Since I've done the mosquito bite thing I rarely see any gnats. Hope this helps :)

I live in a desert! My household humidity is only 30-35% so things dry out FAST. Its different in my greenhouse. Humidity is high so i almost NEVER water

Ilsemanii seriously is a stunner! You have good taste haha, I haven't seen any of them over here in Europe. I would love a SS but it will be a long time coming! I find even with 65% humidity and above and 20 degrees celcius my Gloriosum will not grow! Ugh, what a diva! Haha! White princess is actually cheaper here in Europe, and billietaie (though variegated is crazy stupid expensive here also) and atabapoense are roughly the same price.

I’m curious how fast your Philo leaves unfurl typically? My PPP is constantly putting a new leaf out (literally as one unfurls another is spiking) but the leaf takes at LEAST two/three weeks to completely unfurl. It’s a pretty mature plant at this point so maybe that’s just how it grows, but I’m also worried I might be doing something wrong. (My humidity is always around 70%)
