The trial of Ft. Worth police officer Aaron Dean for the killing of Atatiana Jefferson ended in a conviction for manslaughter and 12-year sentence. But in this episode, PAR investigates how the judge retaliated against supporters of Jefferson's family who attended the trial, throwing one cop watcher in jail for refusing to be sworn in as a witness.

But when you squeeze them there is some alcohol, some people might like that. I like water, clean and pure. So I have absolutely no use for rotten fruit. It's usually hard to even sell fruit once it begins to rot. There might be some at your local food bank. Instead he was part of a protest the evening before & it was the defense who wanted to call him as a witness. He refused to be sworn in & why he was taken out. I seen this on Lawyer You Know & during sentencing anyone can be used for credibility or for their own use of either defense or prosecution on the judge’s actual sentencing. The defense wanted to question this man as he was in the court room& involved in public displays against this same defendant.

@Bruss813

The defense wanted to swear in the activists so the activists will be under the rule of sequestration. The rule of sequestration requires witnesses to leave the courtroom so they cannot hear another witness's testimony. Mata refused to be sworn in, because he didnt know wtf was going on. Because Mata was already on bail for another crime, he could not refuse a direct order from the judge, else the judge can revoke his bond. This clearly was an abuse of power.

Years ago, in NY, two of those goofy heads, who thought they were funny, stood in line to get in the courtroom while they made 'lawyer jokes' - as lawyers flashed their badges and walked in. All of a sudden they were surrounded by armed court officers, grabbed, searched and held for four hours before being released on a disorderly conduct charge. All that was for telling harmless jokes. The strangest thing was that none of the hundreds of lawyers there said a word. They let it happen. And then, the case of one of the men turned to something more serious... not related to crime he had committed.

@@beesmonk That is the duality of European Americans. Some do hold to being honorable and upholding the virtues. The other half... there are the gun nuts, who's only real reason for owning a weapon maybe casually committing homicide (12K-19K deaths due to gun violence from 2014 to 2020). The white supremacist, who are afflicted by unfettered ignorance and arrogance. You want to know what others can see... Europeans who have taken over Native American land, and complain about illegal immigrants. Would they call minorities lazy? Europeans introduced slavery, especially in the south. You don't like working under the Sun, well neither do they. The wealthy complaining about the poor and taxes... People who work on minimum wage do the heavy lifting, the actual work. While the ultra wealthy can brag about ice cream shipped from France on a private jet, just because they wanted French ice cream. That's a lot of disposable income. Even their own who have looked back on their history have described themselves to be like a virus. Hispanics get treated as lower class citizens, because they're not considered "white". Columbus Day is celebrated quietly, because he was financed by the Spanish. After many years, the 13 colonies expanded and took over the remaining territories that would become today's United States, by fighting the Mexicans over it. How the west was won... with guns. Also be described as theft. The white supremacists are the most ignorant, and the most arrogant. They don't know their history, they don't know much of anything going on. Basically, it's all theirs if they can take it by force. And they will just bold face lie. They claim the guy made "terroristic threats". They are trying to use terrorism as a means to make it easier to fool people. It's actually called "criminal threat". It's just another indication they don't even know the law all that well. He didn't make any threats as far as the video/audio records shows. Watch when they have to drop those charges. They are empty-headed and arrogant, they don't even bother to check what they say matches reality. Sign of arrogance. Unscrupulous liars, criminals riding the on the coats of others. They are that delusional, ignorant and arrogant. They don't do fact-checking, because they can't, because they also don't know how. Examples: Civil and Administrative Asset Forfeiture, it came from a lawyer from the south. You can tell, using "In Rem" (property is made the defendant), while the owner is present in the court. It's legal shenanigans, where the police take property and divvied up the loot. No criminal charges, and no Due Process (process where a crime or violation is proven). You should be suspicious when anyone tries to use "en rem" in court while the owner is present.

A defense lawyer in the Aaron Dean case told the judge Monday that the activist who was arrested in court Friday had made “terroristic threats” against Dean’s family, which raised alarm when the activist sat within feet of them in the courtroom. Judge George Gallagher said Monday that Mata’s bond would be reinstated. Jail records show that he was released by Tuesday morning. Court records do not indicate that Mata is facing any charges in connection with threats in the Dean case. Plain-clothes and undercover law enforcement officers witnessed what happened, he said. The next day in court, they recognized Mata as the man who the day before did a “bull rush toward one of their vehicles and was creating the overtones of the terroristic threat,” Brissette said. “When I saw him come in the courtroom and saw him sit within immediate reach of the Dean family, it caused me some concern,” Gallagher said. “My goal is to protect everyone.” So basically the Judge went by what was said to him and the people who need to be investigated are the ones who made the false accusations.
