Why would a lawyer take on a case like this that, seems to me, has very little merit or credibility

It's money lol. They still charge for all the work they do and most don't expect to win. They hope it gets drawn out so they can just keep charging their client.

A lawyer will be honest about the viability of a case, but if someone is willing to pay anyway, it might not be an issue. Plus, the goal in a case like this one is to intimidate, not necessarily to win.

@@milehighpokemon idk he hasn’t talked about it too much but I know that he left Canada I think he’s still living in an undisclosed location. He always says the process is the punishment which seems to be true in rattles case as well.
