I just met Laura and her husband in the park, watering the apple tree she planted for her father. She shared her experiences, writing the book, and I think accomplishing some of her own bucket list items. What a beautiful person.

My Dad was born Montclair in 1938, grew up in Cerder's Grove. What a great way to remember your Dad. He's been gone almost 5 yrs now and always wanted to go to Alaska, I'm a long way away in Florida but who knows what the future holds.

The thing to remember is that a part of her dad is literally inside of her, and that should bring her and others some comfort that the person who you love is not really gone.

What a perfect tribute to her dad. I would like to complete my bucket list without fear. How do you get the guts to do this? This is my challenge. To overcome my mental illness and still finish things without fear of failure. I'm 58 and tired of this disorder holding me prisoner. Any ideas from the public would be greatly appreciated. I've been struggling to get through the ups and downs of mental and physical issues, and i feel pinned down by it. I'm a practicing Christian ✝️ and my faith seems like the only peace i get these days even for part of a day. I could also use prayers with these issues so i can finally move on with my life. Thank you for letting me open up here. God Bless You All. 🙏 ✝️🙇♀️💕

Tana, sometimes failure is part of the process. And even if you failed after repeated tries, at least you made the attempt. Perhaps, you're suffering from perfectionism. What has helped me, is a daily mantra I write down, "70% is good enough." This helps change your perception. Generally - taking good care of yourself physically and mentally - with moderate exercise like daily walking, and eating nutritous food, will give you good results with mental and physical health. Nothing strenous, even a daily 10 minute walk will help. Journaling can be therapeutic. It's a great way to reconnect and get to know yourself. And sometimes, the answers will come to you. Practicing, even a 5 minute daily meditation; ending it with a prayer - I find helpful too. Lastly, expect setbacks. They're part of the process. When this happens, just dust yourself off and start fresh the next day. ⭐Be your own best friend and ally. Take care.

FATHER'S DAY DADS AT WAR ** Where would I be without you dad My hero of night and day? I'm so glad you love my mother And think of us when you pray. The last time we had Christmas You reached for me with your hand. I looked at you, then made a wish That I might be just half the man. I love my father of Earth, And I love my Father of Heaven. It's a lot for me to love, you know For I’m only eleven. Mom and I sure miss you Since you left to defend our flag. When others ask, where’s your dad I can't help but cry and brag. He wrote out 60 items on a list written when he was 29 years old, but only accomplished 6 of those items in the remaining 25 years of his life! At that rate, it wouldn't taken her father 250 to complete his list! And now the daughter is running around like a chicken with her head cut off to complete this list!?!

Do you feel better for that comment?

There is more to it than that. Dig deeper. It has more meaning than what is on the surface and not about just completing his list
