A wind vane, weather vane, or weathercock is an instrument used for showing the direction of the wind. It is typically used as an architectural ornament to the highest point of a building. The word vane comes from the Old English word fana, meaning "flag".

Adam, lived on that property for a couple of months doing psych. Rotation in nursing school. Hated every moment, so depressing and creepy, add a thunder storm…ugh. House mother from hell. Toilet paper that was lethal. There was a multi story 1960’s building at entrance, Clark Bldg.,where we worked, gave us big ring of skeleton keys to go between wards. This was when they started de-institutionalization, and we had gas rationing . Made it hard to get back to Boston on the weekend. There are a few videos on KZbin.

Welcome to Boston. If you get a chance visit Peddock's island in Boston Harbor National Park. There is a Shutter Island filming connection there as well. Also, there is an abandoned army base with mortar pits that you can explore. On the south side of the island is in a mostly abandoned Portuguese fishing village that you can walk to. A convenient shuttle boat service makes the harbor islands easy to access.

Interesting & kind of creepy vlog. Liked seeing the old zoo. It looks more spacious than the old Griffith Park Zoo and less dangerous to explore than the one in Griffith Park too! Love your NE state vlogs. The architecture looks more medieval and rustic. Your friend Josh also added nicely to lighten up the atmosphere and keep you from jumping in that pit. Please be safe. ❤️🙏🏻

I really like Adam and I really like Josh. No pretentiousness still very excited over the small things in life and both seem to be generally nice people who legit enjoy small facts and histories while being open to new ideas and information. I guess I just love to see people truly excited and wonderous over smaller aspects of history and tidbits of info rather than acting as though its not cool to be interested or its mundane to speak about parts of films or info that isnt groundbreaking just interesting. Getting excited over a sidewalk or a tunnel rather than having to have mind blowing discoveries at all times or its beneath them...just refreshing

Kirkbride influenced the building of many state hospitals in Massachusetts. All buildings are connected via underground tunnels. The houses were designed to provide a more intimate setting for the patients to make friends as opposed to large hospitals. Much more of a small community feeling. This is why the buildings are so far back from the road not because they were bad people it was for peace and keeping road noise away from the patients. Nobody says dunkies in Massachusetts they call it dunks.
