In Barranco under the bridge of sighs. The path going down hill has a couple of bars and resturants before reaching another bridge that takes you to the sandy beaches. During the summer the path is packed with people going and coming from the beach. Restaurants are also packed during the summer. The vibe picks up a lot at night.

You could drink chicha morada ,InkaCola, try what locals take breakfast very natural called Emolientes. They have a little stands in the streets. Cheap and healthy

Risso at night especially on the weekends is happening. It's much safer to hang out and closer to the tourist area. On another note Isolina is a decent place to eat but as you said their aji de gallina is just ok. Their lomo saltado and roasted or seco rib rack with a side of beans and rice are good options. FYI, servings are for more than one person.

Why spend 100 bucks on 1 pair of clippers when you can spend 20 bucks on a transformer and be able to use all your clippers. When you step down to 120 from 220, the clippers still hit harder than normal in the US. You'll hear it and feel it. Theres still a extra 'something' in there that carries thru.

Found Lima really boring. Ayahuasca Resto bar in Barranco is cool. Big place, nice decor…whether it’s “lit”? I think the effects of covid was lingering so maybe now it is. Great steak house in Barranco too - La Cuadra de Salvador on Jiron Centenario Cusco: if u go to aguas calientes (by train) for Machu Picchu - don’t book a tour- get your ticket in Cusco and go alone, you get your own personal guide vs a group. Plus they wisk you up then back & you’d miss the hot springs lol

Lima hasn't recouped after COVID. Pizza Street use to be vibrant. Now it's half empty with bad restaurants. Barrancos blvd is half empty. Many nice restaurants and pisco bars closed. Also, mix in the politics that have halted investments. Things are slowly improving.
