So there is a program called SASH at Goodfellow (Students against sexual harassment) and it is a program tech school students can be a part of to help with the SAPR office (sexual assault prevent/response) All bases will have some sort of SAPR program in place and I know a lot of tech schools have the SASH program. Reporting sexual assault can be very difficult for some and a lot of people do not feel comfortable going directly to the SAPR office. So as a teal rope, people can go to you to report indecent or they could simply talk to you to find out more about who they need to talk to report an incident or you could even go to a teal rope just because you need someone to talk to. its a great program and I love being a part of it :)

If you're a female go air force. Don't even think of army or marines. You will be seen as a walking mattress whether you're like that or not.
@kmbdbz6 жыл бұрын
I'm a female and I'm in the Army. Ignore John's comment about being a mattress. We're not objects and many desperate males will see you as that. I have dignity and you more than likely do too. Let me know if you have questions about Army. :)
@johnreed90506 жыл бұрын
@@kmbdbz I w just relating how the males stereotype females in the military. I was a platoon Sgt and had females in my unit. When I became plt Sgt I had a meeting with the males and one with the females. I told them what was expected from them and what to expect from me. I told the females that you will have to do twice as much to be seen as equal to males. I told them that how theyconduct themselves is how they will be treated. I told them they will not be allowed to get out of anything and will be required to do everything the males do. I told them they will not be targeted nor will I give them special treatment because they are females. I told both groups that if they can't get with this ill transfer you out of the unit. 4 males decided they couldn't get with the program and transferred them out. All females stayed and performed up to standards and not one brought the girl drama . They were all appreciative of how I treated them and I believe that's the only way it should be.
@M1mye6 жыл бұрын
I went Marines and 2 weeks into bootcamp I regretted it and wanted to quit, but that feeling you get when you make it through the crucible and you're singing alongside your brother platoons is something you'll never feel again. MCT is what you thought bootcamp was going to be. Some girls thought it was tough, I thought it was a lot of fun. You shoot the M240 and do night shooting, etc, just loads of physical activities that you do alongside your brothers. One thing I don't recommend is being rowguard during the hikes at MCT, oooh boy, that 15k nearly killed me due to all that running with our packs. The first 4 months of nothing but physical training is tough but it does get easier when your body adapts. Keep in mind to train before you go, we dropped 20ish females in my platoon and over 50 in my series. Most are from broken bones or not getting high enough pt scores. I recommend being able to do at least 60 crunches, 2 pullups, and a 14 minute runtime on a mile and a half. You will be sleep deprived, hungry and sore when you do the initial pft test and if you don't pass, you get dropped. We lost 4 girls that day and I almost went with them. Push through the IT, work harder on your PT and get stronger. Do that and then you just have the school house to worry about😄

@autumnrohde3675 жыл бұрын
lia Lynnx I believe minor medical conditions are allowed as long as you have a large stock of any medications that you need, and that your condition will not affect the way you work at all as a soldier. So as long as you’re not distracted by it, I’d say you’re safe to enlist. Though I’d definitely take it up with a recruiting officer to make sure of it

chloe long from what I know you’ll have to grow it out. I was considering a sort of undercut, but I’m close to applying for the Army so I can’t do that I have to grow my hair out and keep it as is.
