In today’s video, I bring you along on my route while I talk about my trailer load, how I broke my hand truck, & maneuvering through a tight parking lot.

I think if you’re fortunate enough to be based out of a well-managed terminal has a lot to do with how good or bad the job is. I read about someone who worked at Sysco and a typical work week was around 50-55 hrs. But he temporarily transferred to another terminal to help them out and it was much more chaotic.

Hey bro I'll be coming on to the food service life starting next week with mclane. I've been watching your videos for the past few weeks. Getting my mind ready for what's to come. The only things I'm worried about is adjusting to the physical grind. I'm 6-6 and 300 pounds, I know about to lose some weight fast. 😂 Appreciate the content

That’s what’s up my guy. Yeah, don’t be surprised if you shed a few pounds. 😂💪🏾

I got my all my endorsements just to make my resume look good. But everyone wants a year minimum of experience. Mclane was the first to offer to a took it. I'm based out of Colorado. Any advice I'd appreciate it

I’m about to join food service gang on April 15 coming off OTR. I did flatbed for a year but it’s nothing compared to what a lot of people saying about the grind of food service.

Bro, I got to get my hands on the retractable hand truck!! I know you mentioned it in one of your videos but the name of the company you mentioned escapes me, did you say it was Magliner or Magcoa that I could get them? I use the foot method ALL THE TIME and as well as bending down to pull the hand truck from up under em the stack with my hand and that does get annoying. I’d much rather get the retractable ones.

Can you bring your own hand truck? there are so many variations of hand trucks that could help you and make the job easier for you. even if you need to travel with it every time you go into work.
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
You could but I personally don’t think it’s necessary if you already have a good one. Hand trucks aren’t cheap. Unless the company doesn’t provide the driver with one, it’s really no need to purchase your own.

@@imanthonytv What’s the biggest inconvenience you have found at your job? One you run into again and again?
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
@ManzaMvsa I would say digging for cases. Some days are better than others but it’s a reoccurring problem.

Ant what's the tip on getting faster in and out that trailer with the dolly? How do I become more efficient delivering?
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
Speed comes with time & just getting familiar with the cases. Try to keep your truck organized as you go along throughout the day. Also, being able to park as close as possible to wherever you’re making the delivery will help you become more efficient as well.

8 stops and 1019 cases over two days? 😮

Yep

That’s normal I do anywhere between 1000-1300 in 2 days layover and all with PFG nyc routes
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
@oneman5055 Yep..Doing 1000-1300 cases on a 2 day route is different from doing 1000 cases on a local route because you have to factor in the miles. I have 2hr commutes between a few stops 😅

so when you go to the hotel you stay over night like sleep over night then leave the next day
@imanthonytv3 ай бұрын
I actually leave the hotel before midnight but basically in most cases yes, that’s how it works. Most chain drivers stay overnight and leave hotel early the next morning.
