Matt, you make choices so easily. Like working out to stay alert and not losing the edge, drinking smoothie and practicing after team practice. Personally I would freak out if I had to make choices since what I do today will effect the outcome on game day. Do you just know the amount and intensity of all the choices you make from years of experience or do you have a schedule / planner / trainer to help you out?

What I would do is make a planner and be consistent with your goals, it is better to do something and be consistent with it rather than not do anything at all.

My son is 7 years old he was in the foundation for a year at Fulham but was a great year to have that experience and he really enjoys football the coaches were amazing professionals and we are lucky to had that kind of opportunity 🙏 thanks for the video

Wow, did anyone else notice how incredibly disrespectful Scarlett was at minute 19:45? Her dad, Matt Sheldon, went to all the trouble of inviting her to watch the game together, even making her comfortable on the sofa with snacks and fruits. He clearly wanted to bond and enjoy some quality time with her while watching the Real Madrid vs. Manchester City game. But what does Scarlett do? Instead of appreciating her dad's efforts, she's completely engrossed in playing with the blanket! It's really disheartening to see her prioritize a blanket over spending time with her father, who clearly wanted to share this special moment with her. Matt clearly values their relationship, and Scarlett's actions seem quite disrespectful and unappreciative. It's essential for Scarlett to realize how much her dad cares about her and the time he's willing to invest in their relationship. Hopefully, she'll come to appreciate these moments and the effort her father puts into spending time with her.

Great video. Love to see a young American like Devan make his way to England chasing big dreams. Unfortunately don't like the idea of him switching to Colombia. I had Irish parents, lived in Ireland for a little bit as a kid but mostly raised in NYC. Had a chance to train with some Irish youth national teams in the late 80s while I was in high school. I'd never consider in a million years back then to switch to Ireland over my home country of the USA. No matter what I did, I'd never be considered Irish to the players born/raised there. Same thing with you. Colombians will never fully accept you as one of theirs. Trust me. And it doesn't matter if you're mother was born there or not. I think when you get a bit older, you may regret not pushing harder to stick with the US program. At the end of the day you'll always be a kid from Florida, which is something to be proud of.

Everyone has their own path. You made the right decision for yourself, let Devan make his own decision for himself... You watch 15 minutes of the kid's life and you think you know the right career path for him. I know a few players who "stuck it out and pushed harder" for their home country and regretted not experiencing being a part of a national team of their parents' heritage. Just because you have a right answer for your career doesn't mean it's the right answer for Devan's.
