I’ll be honest, I’m a bit sorry for anyone who has to live under the pressure of such fame as dr. Peterson. I think it’s the duty of someone in his position to protect themselves from the thousands of people that appreciate them, because it’s just beyond the capacity of a human to be civil and kind day after day, year after year, to everyone, when they’re just trying to have a walk or make a flight. I think it’s something every person who achieves some level of fame has to contend with.

Consciousness is the only real. Pain and love are modulations of consciousness. There is in fact nothing more than consciousness, experiencing itself. Pain, love, fear, joy, even matter, are modulations of consciousness. There is only one consciousness viewing itself (aka physical, "outer" reality) through different "located" mind/body complexes. Not solipsism btw, because there IS an "out there"; it is just that the "out there", the consensus reality is not seperate, and cannot ever be seperated from its viewer and observer (aka, you and me).

@@JacobWhyDontYouPutOnALiLMakeup Think of it as "the only thing that's real is this moment. Everything else is a story we tell ourselves (about the past or future)." If you can get into that (or behind it), you find that there is a you (an essence of you, an existence of you) that is conscious without thought, without explanation and story telling, labeling and defining. It just is. And, it's only in this moment. It's easily attainable through mindfulness, individuatating one's "self in the moment" from one's "self thinking/confabulating/ruminating in the moment." It may sound trivial or word-salad. But, it's the only thing that's real. This is especially significant when you consider Benjamin Libet's discovery that our decisions occur about 2/3 of a second before our conscious 5% mind believes it made the decision. I.e., the 95% subconscious emerges our conscious experience, and thoughts emerge in this process. Do we follow thoughts/decisions/emotions on autopilot? Or, do we step back and observe them (exercising some veto power as the observer, not the thinker taking it for granted that thoughts are real, and the are us?). Dr. David Vago has some good insight into this too, from his own proofs. Non-duality is an extreme of this (and self-deceiving, IMO). But, there is huge (enormous) benefit from even just the dualistic experience (individuating yourself in the moment from the thinker. Observing that there is a you that exists without thinking. Then you can quibble about at what point there is no observer, and how you know that without experiencing it. I.e., how did you have an experience without an experiencer. That's the tautology non-dualists obsess about. They just draw the dual line differently, but can't admit it. There is a real experience that can feel non-dual. But, there is still a feeler or experiencer. So, don't let the purists stand in your way. They get ego satisfaction from being pure. Thus, they aren't as awake as they believe. They tend to talk down to anyone who doesn't agree. "That's ok, you're just not there yet." wink.).

I can't listen to Jordan. He sounds like Suze Orman. She treats her listeners like frustrating imbeciles who need to be spoken to tersely, angrily, impatiently. She relates to them as "you're all dummies, and I'm so tired of talking to you." It doesn't sound objective. It sounds emotional and us vs them.
