Sure, but that does not help when you don't know what the decision is. There's no way to understand and know the endings of every single decision you make. You are just gonna have to make the decisions based on the available data which is faulty at best.

You can’t know all the possibilities, but for instance- if you want to be healthier, you already know that eating better foods and exercising more regularly will bring you closer to that goal. Same concept can be applied at your job, school, probably 90% of the things that constitute a more successful or improved life. There are things you can’t control, IE someone rejecting you after you ask for their phone number but I would say you can know when something is helping you improve, and despite the chances of things failing there are some certainties.

But, if you tell somebody, then you're holding yourself accountable, and at the beginning of your journey, use whatever it takes to move forward. Then, as you start to achieve and learn what you're truly capable of, you can stand in the mirror and be accountable for the person staring back. It's all a learning curve, learn what makes you tick, learn to open that door of unknown, then you can learn yourself. At the end of the day, you're who matters first and foremost. It's hard to help with someone else's mess, when you're a mess yourself....
