He may not be the best but definitely the GOAT in my eyes. To have to experience the upsets he had to go through and always to the same guy year after year and finishing second 5 out of 6 years and still have the mental strength and the will to continue to give your all and never give up and manage to finally beat the guy and be a 4x Mr. Olympia is amazing!!! I can't imagine how strong you have to be to overcome that; think about it. For me he's the greatest, no doubt in my mind.

Go down to 4 days training a week Jay. It's good at our age. You eat clean as hell. No need for 7 days. You will not lose your muscle. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's hard because it's in your DNA. I totally get it.

Big Jay! Differently wear UV clothing or good sun block. I had Melanoma on my right shoulder from the sun. 2 surgeries, 14 months of chemo(interferon) Nothing you ever want! I’m lucky to still be here! Stay safe in the Sun! Love you content 👍T

I'm a trainer however have not competed in bodybuilding since i was 20 yrs (long story). A nice 5 Day split you might like is: Day 1: Back Day 2: Quad, adductor, standing calf Day 3: Chest, Bicep Day 4 Glute, Hamstring, seated calf Day 5: Shoulder, tricep

Jay has absolutely done a fantastic job of not blowing out joints and over all body damage as many others have, he can focus on longevity and refining and has laid down a good foundation to work from. Dr.Adeel Khan follistatin gene therapy I believe is about to change everything for guys in their 50s on up! So the future is going to improve and will be something to look forward to without having to hang up a career in something you love.

Jay, I think that the gym is still your sanctuary. You like the training now, just like when you were 18. Until you have a new goal, what's the harm in your current program? 4 - 6 movements per bodypart, 4 - 6 sets per movement, 8 - 12, 15 reps per set. Reduce the volume until you're comfortable with your new slimmed down size. You'll know when. Thanks for sharing, Jay, and thanks for filming and interviewing skills, Dave. I feel the same way about walking, really fulfilling for me. Go for 3 or 4 days a week and see how that works for you. Enjoy your time off, some football, friends, whatever you like, you've earned it, and are still contributing a lot to the community. God Bless you and your family.

I have catahoula (hog dogs) mother and son, the mother I got from a guy that used her as a bait dog for hog hunting, well we feed them 3.5-4 cups of food (IAMS) a day BUT has to split into small portions throughout the day on a schedule or they will scarf their food in one sitting and make themselves sick

Im using Jay’s old training routine: arms and calves one day, back one day, day off, shoulders/chest one day, legs one day, day off. If I need an extra day off, I take it. I do low impact aerobics most days, twice a day if I’m feeling great. Always aerobics on day off. All the champs have to shrink someday. I think it better Jay does it before 55 year old, so he can adjust proportions and shrink skin. Don’t overthink it Jay. 218 lbs by you 52nd birthday, then get even lighter by your 55th birthday. You will look incredible in clothes. I bet you will be surprised how your muscularity will distract from your barrel chest.

Hi jay so I've been working out for 40 years or so now and at 61 liking the three day... Monday/Wednesday/Friday routine as it seems to give the body time to rest and recuperate in between workouts. Your a little over a decade younger than me and a PRO to boot so maybe 4 days a week... Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday would work better for you.... Just Sayin'.

There is almost zero gym edict. People look at you like you are crazy. But they rest 2 to 3 minutes between sets. Very rude.

10:47 FFS Dave speaks the truth! The leg extension machine is the WORST. There is only 1 in our Gold's and people will camp out for 5 minutes between sets typing on their phone. Also zero awareness and etiquette. I've had people walk right between the benches while I'm doing 315lbs with their rear end 3" from bumping the bar which could really get me hurt. Just walk around, have awareness, be polite! Nope.
