Leo i dont like asking.i really dont. But im one of those "at the crossroads" chefs. Been slaving in the culinary for all my life, and now your channel shows that maybe i would be able to make my current living, and spend more time with my family. I know there are ups and downs, but how much time a week do you put into your business? What volume of product will you get from your time spent? Again, i don't like to ask, i just want to see if its even a possibility to pursue if not as a main gig, but a side thing. Great channel, your calm and considerate and as a professional, you know what your doing

A little late and not Leo but I'll give you my experience. The start will be terrible, what you see on this video is Leo having established customer base. You can hear a lot of them asking him about the trip and being happy hes back. When you are starting off however, people will not care or even look twice in your direction. Its quite strange here in the UK or maybe that's my experience but a lot of people do not want to try new things. They are more than happy with their meh quality plastic wrapped baked goods from supermarkets. As you can see on this video the vast majority in per experience were middle class white people. Others I just couldn't attract. Might be the money so cant blame anyone. Hours wise its not bad, if you prep well you can get everything done in 2/3 hours then travel and sell for another 3/4 hours. Travel back and spend an hour or two prepping for next day. Overall it averages at a normal 8 hour day. but you start at 4 or 5am. In the beginning since I found it hard to gain customers without huge marketing behind me. (Social media, local events, website and flyers) just to get some traction a lot was given out for free. The start up costs doing it this way are quite high, equipment is not cheap, if you are not doing it in your house (doubt you would be able to) you get additional rent and utilities. Labour since you are working for yourself you only get paid when you make a profit (no profit for at least a month, AT LEAST) and fuel it all adds up. Overall I would not recommend, its really difficult and the customer base especially with the current living cost situation for many is an issue. Hour wise you're not any better than a "normal" 9-5 job and with that at least you're guaranteed to make money. I have since moved to a single food truck where I make all I need to make at the property, fill it all up and drive around industrial estates as well as offices. Hours wise its a lot better, customers are always there and happy to see you. Recently remodeled the property and also got an employee working there while I drive around. Selling and making fresh things for customers while they wait.

I hope besides your indoor bakery area, you someday get an inside store to sell from, then you are right there and don't have to travel to pop up outside venues with different types of weather to deal with and hauling stuff. I’m Brazilian, I live in São Paulo, Brazil, and I really like your work. We Brazilians, just like the British, value people like you who work hard and dedicate themselves to succeeding in life. A question: isn’t there any food delivery app in England that you could use to start selling your products? Here in São Paulo, we have Ifood. Basically, entrepreneurs create an account, list their products, a percentage of the sale is deducted for the app, and deliveries are made by motorbike couriers who receive alerts from the app itself, with no delivery costs for the entrepreneur. You could also plan to become a supplier for bakeries and markets, providing quantities that you would define when negotiating with them-have you thought about that? I wish that God always blesses your business, your life, and your family. A big hug, my friend, and never give up!
