It's been a while since I've flown the C, when the announcement was made I felt nostalgia and flew it since the announcement. All of my groupmates was so excited since most of us have played Lock on Flaming Cliffs and 2 in 2009. Thanks ED, and please there are some channels that is saying that we are in the dark ages in combat flight sim. We are not, just because we experience something bad here and there that doesn't mean that we are. For most serious flyers like my group, no one is asking about the Dynamic Campaign. But we know it's importance to attract new audiences and is looking forward to what ED will offer.

I just hope they will use the same quality flight model, 3D model and renders for the full Fidelity and the FC version. I really like the idea of having multiple versions of planes available, like a version from the 80s and one from the 2000s. That could increase the number of servers and scenarios.

Not at all. The entire external model and cockpit will be rebuilt to meet 2025 graphical standards. The avionics, sensor, and weapon systems will be at the highest level of fidelity with a fully interactive cockpit. While the flight model will be based on the Flaming Cliffs version, it will be further improved. Please note the Flaming Cliffs version will remain unchanged.

I know for a fact they will maintain these flaming Clifs variants as well but don't expect development to be targeted for this pack. Just imagine it's an Asobo default jet in MSFS who also has a PMDG version.

AND if they say we are making the full-fidelity based on another version of the plane that is great. However, if the exterior is the same, why not use the opportunity to upgrade the FC renders? It seems that the entire 3D model of the exterior and interior needs to be remade. The bolts, the frames, for a full fidelity module, they need better resolution than the current FC planes. The F5 upgrade is not to a full fidelity standard. I cover all the news and showcase all these changes for what they are, yet confusions can still happen. It would be great to say: Aaaw the FC planes are so detailed that they only need the button click cockpit functionality and extra modeling of systems and they are done, because then we would see all FC planes become full fidelity modules. Not the case with DCS. Dont get me wrong, I get your ideea, and it would make sense but not in this circumstance. Thanks for the comments

The issue I see is that right now the newer 120 variants -6 -7 -8/D all have seeker and guidance improvements, something we can’t enjoy because right now the 120 is modeled very simply. For example the 120’s major feature of being able to switch between PRF frequencies to counter notching isn’t even modeled, much less the proper guidance logic to be more energy efficient, making it harder to bleed of energy with small maneuvers.

I'm a Tomcat guy, but i'm more hyped by the F15c FF than the F35 or even Typhhon (due to their lack of realism in systems compare to older plane). Bringin the F15c is a really good move for ED. We got one of the most iconic plane ever (still behind the F-14 ^^) and that cut the grass under the feet of Razbam... At least until we got a resolution. But even if Raz leave the boat, at least we will still have a full fidelity F15.

F15E and F15C are very different airplanes with very different missions. The 18 variants have the same missions. And it appears the 15E in DCS is dead or about to be.

So. The F-15C is going to bring 1970s aero performance at the same time it lacks the 2010s avionics and weapons it needs to remain competitive. Hmmmm. Both Langley and the Israelis fly CFT so they can carry BRU-26 MERs on the wings to give them some air to mud. The Israelis also have Python 3/4/5 and Derby. Along with Popeye and Delilah and GBU-15. The JASDF should have the AAM-4B and AAM-3/5 for alternative (superior) F-Pole and guidance from an 8" active homing missile with an AESA seeker and an FPA seeker IR weapon which is essentially the Japanese Python-4 and IRIS-T, respectively. The USAF model should have AIM-120D3, AIM-9X Blk.2 and PADS with the bigger display and centerline AAQ-33 pod. It should have the APG-63V3. And it should have the ALQ-135B with the upper/lower emitter domes behind the main nose cone to help with FQ jammer coverage (this means a better jammer strobe model overall). Along with LAU-128 BOL launchers on all four rails so that the ALE-45 can be loaded with both flares and some kind of GEN-X or Brite Cloud expendable jammer. The F-15EX gets the ALE-55 as part of EPAWSS. The F-15C never will, as an element of TEWS. In a post millennium threat environment, you are not Gen-4 survivable without some kind of offboard seduction decoy. The Israeli versions should have satellite targeting via the R2 dome behind their F-15D two seater versions. Kinematically, an F-15C/D should get its head handed to it by most Su-27SM or later jets. Which means you need to improve the weapons systems to provide much better scan refresh and target population over at least a 50% longer overall range. At the same time, you allow passive attack system vectored strikes with the MPCD giving you LINK-16 over MIDS and to help pre-point the Sniper and Seekers. The F-35 is going to be a primary SEAD jet and as such needs standoff munitions that match the threat. If you are hunting enemy SA-20/21/27 you need AARGM-ER/SIAW as an internal ARM. You need JSM as an internal, 100nm, terrain following, cruise. You need GBU-53 as a standoff munition. And (at a minimum) you need AIM-120D on a Side Kick as Blk.4 airframe. You need the ability to target for other people's ordnance. You have the long range EOTS, you have the very high fidelity SAR and GMTI. You have the passive fire control quality Barracuda tracking with 1` 3DRK as 3D Range Known. You have the fusion with other F-35s to help populate a digital battlespace map with threat targets that MOVE, displacing to avoid ARM attacks. Two button send warnings to other people on threats, as a function of MADL->Link-16 connectivity. Jam enemy radar with the APG-85 to increase the penetration ratio of conventional signature jets and cruise missiles. Deploy both ALE-70 and Brite Star as key terminal defensive aids within a _limited_ stealth aspect and band coverage system. When you are 'either or' on competent A2A and A2G, having only 2 of each under most circumstances, you have to be able to do more than be a kinetic effector or the F-35 _will not_ be fun to play. X6 + X2 (AIM-120D internal, AIM-9X external) is okay. X4+ X1 + X2 + X2 SDB-2 and SIAW and AIM-120D and AIM-9X, also pretty cool. But it will be so much better when you can call the lightning down on your target from someone else' jet. I would further suggest added NPC aircraft in the form of the F-16I, the F-2 and the F-22 as commanded if not flyable escorts.

Newer versions sell better due to wider payload variety and ease of use. That's also why we have late versions of the Cold War soviet aircraft, they wanted to put in as many features as possible, same thing with DCS WWII modules. I think the only "early" variant we have is from Heatblur, and it's still an upgrade version of the F-14A.

no Rama, you didn't get it - FC planes are all having an advanced flight model - that's what makes DCS different from lets say the default planes from MSFS. But the Full fidelity modules, get even more updates and tuning to that FM, that's why its valid to say - the F15C starts from the Flaming Cliffs flight model and they will tune it further. The BIG question is (and I will do my best to find an answer): What happens to the Flaming cliffs F15C? Does it get the upgraded flight model or stays the way it is today?

I cannot wait until the F-15C comes out! Will be an instant buy from me. After 2-3 years being more of a A/G guy and finally getting more interested and putting way more effort in the current F-15C we have and A/A combat in general this will be amazing. Take the F-15C we got and add a map with link16, HJMCS and a fully functional accurate radar it will be even more dangerous than it already is. BMS actually has a decent full Fidelity F-15C to warm up on all of the systems we don’t get to manipulate now in our C model. Love me some Strike Eagle as well and hope that gets picked back up soon but they’re a little different on how they work even though they’re both a F-15.

@ it’s just a full fidelity model of the jet that’s already available to use. All it does is lack a few features to lower some SA and on top of that they made it extremely beginner friendly to operate. I get it through another 4th gen. We just got the F-4 released with several WWII planes coming with also several Cold War gen 3 planes in development. There is plenty of time frames available to keep everyone happy. (Should)

They are two entirely different aircraft, they pretty much only share the look and that's it. The Charlie is single seat and air-to-air only. The Echo is a 2-seater, has different radar, avionics, engines, and has a much beefier frame to be a bomb truck, conformal tanks, and again, pretty much everything is different other than the look. A fully loaded Charlie model weighs the same as an empty Echo.

Instead of giving us a good counterpart to the Black Shark and Hind, like for example a really good simulated AH-64A (that would have been great for a 90's enviroment) with much easyer to simulate Systems - You had to go full out pleasing the Playstation Gen Kiddies with the newest Blinkblink, unsure if you even can get enough information to simulate the Block II accurately enough and can make it easy to fix your damn compatibility issues, using the Customer as Betatester for decades! And instead of trying to buy the Strike Eagle project from Razbam to keep updating it yourself and have a complex Strike Fighter, instead of making a new Module that you really cannot simulate with the same fidelity, because TOP SECRET means TOP SECRET! Ah, I could go on and on, but my blood pressure start's to get to be an issue! The Eagle may have been a good idea and will be liked by many but that F-35 Hype is moronic. Dino thinks it is enough to just port his F-35 from Flight Simulator to DCS or what? The MB-339 was easy to port, the system depth and armament of that aircraft is not even reaching a Freeware Module like the Skyhawk. But a still Top Secret modern Fighter like the F-35 simulated with everything the real one has is propostious! Dino is one of the best in MSFS even since the FSX days, but to make a highly accurate and very complex module for DCS is a whole other thing! I bet the F-35 wll allready be replaced by unmanned Aircraft in real before we get a highly accurate F-35 for DCS! Remember, Dino worked on that F-35 for Microsoft Flight Simulator from 2010 till now without any weapon systems programmed into it. Now think how long it will take him to make one for a complex Military Simulation like DCS? Sorry about my rant, but it had to be said!

can we be honest for a second? russian gear sucks IRL, as shown in ukraine. their jets are overrated, just like the mig 25 was back in the days. The su 27 in DCS is probably given more power than it really have because of the power of russian propaganda.

And this could be said vice versa, as any modern NATO jet conducting CAP/CAS over heavily defended airspace would also encounter the same issues. This delusion that (Russia aircraft bad) is really odd lol And as for a current situation showcasing Russian aircraft’s capabilities, look at Kursk. Ukraine literally lost half of their captured Kursk territory due to Russian air superiority.

Plenty of NATO countries used to fly Russian aircraft until just the past few years. Several friendly Asian countries still do. And they are very effective when them. Russian air tactics are a different story.

I think it depends on how ambitious they are. The FC3 aircraft does have a lot of transferrable assets this may be mostly a matter of modeling detailed avionics and secondary systems.
