I'll never forget watching Twin Peaks with my mom while I was going through the worst depressive episode of my life. It really broke me out of it, seeing Dale Cooper's eccentric way of loving life through terrible hardships with his simple way of making everyday special. "Everyday treat yourself to something nice, don't plan it, don't schedule it, just do it".

One of the top pilot episodes of all time. Starting with Laura already dead, and that small video clip of her, being so impactful. The scene with Donna crying in class was perfect. At the time I first watched it, I thought Bobby was so annoying, ha, but Dana Ashcroft really delivered that role.

A friend of mine is a huge Lynch fan and kept wanting to show us Twin Peaks. He showed us a clip of the dream sequence in the red room to see our reaction. I was unsure of it from that scene alone, but one Sunday morning after a party at his place we decided to watch the pilot. We ended up binging more episodes the entire day. It's just so comfy, fun, and intriguing.

I saw the 1st episode on its TV premier and was hooked. 20 years later I stumbled on a box set of VHS of the show and gave them to my 15 year old daughter, which then started a sort of 'Twin Peaks Fan Club' in two different area High Schools!😄😊 It had legs, that's for sure, and seems worthy of the 'Classic' title. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this....

I've always loved TP, it blew my mind, I couldn't believe what it turned into after some more episodes. Also, I talked to my mum (70) about it (mind we are from Chile); I just casually asked her if she knew TP. She immediately said: "Sure! About the murder of Laura Palmer". She told me the series was televised during those years and many people were hocked to the story! Best recommendation ever from KZbin. Oh wow - straight back to Tuesday nights in Stoneybatter (Dublin), the two of us sitting on the end of the bed, snuggled in to each other and the TV and the cherry pies. I learned how to make damn fine coffee at home because of that show. It was so amazing to bring David Lynch into the house, after having to go into town to see him before 🙂The man is an unearthly genius of sound and symbol and image, who wrings Jungian dramas through Lovecraftian phrasings to Risso panels. We should thank our gods for giving so strange a mind mastery of cinema. I knew this would be worth a watch when I listened all the way through AtlasVPN, there's few enough voices here can get me to do that! I did like the who's-cheating-with-who layout, and the way you brought back some minor characters who have drifted away from me in time. And such a story of where Bob _really_ came from 😎 This is gonna be fun. Liked and subscribed.

Alas all my books(and I had them all, from the diary, the town guide and a written copy of Coopers tapes) is stored in a bin about 1300 miles away. I was not thinking when I made the decision to leave those books and the og VHS set. Anywho, even if it was Canada, FBI gets involved in state to state crimes, right? Are there really people who just outright dismiss the second season? It's bizarre to me. Season 2 has many of the greatest episodes and moments of the entire show. Despite the lows it falls to after the killer reveal(which is a masterpiece of an episode and could've been a brilliant season finale in its own right), I'd say it also reaches some of the highest highs, as far as the original series is concerned. That's not to mention the film and The Return, which are absolutely otherworldly pieces of work. Though I can't blame people too much for not being able to get into the latter, as it's certainly very.. out there. Saying it's not for everyone would be an understatement. But that describes all of Twin Peaks.

You are missing the point about the poem completely... the 3. line is "One chant/chance OUT between two world" The word "out" is so important in regard to Cooper, Annie, Windom Earl and the killer (dont tell the name) future and past....and is the fundamental of the 3. session! The fact that it sounds the same "chant" or "chance" is a mirror in it self as if it is "chant" it can be a reference to the Native American's chant (spirituality) or a "chant" as the song under the sycamore tree that open a door or it can be "chance" as in a "chance" to get out of places or "chance" of starting over in a new life or timeline ......yes I am a nerd 😉 It is a happy accident that you call Cooper a "kind of a boy scout" because in Mark Frost's book "The secret history of Twin Peak" the lokal boy scout group have a field trip that is yrev close to be at to the core of the Twin Peaks history
