When do you comeback? I've watched many tool reviews, all over the world, but you're the best one, please comeback.

Came for the German strippers. Wasn't expecting tools, but not disappointed.

I have used the same tool before and got better results by holding the wire in some tension while stripping. It takes a bit of practice but seemed to improve the results quite a lot.

Thanks for the review! I had seen that model of Knipex strippers for sale, but didn't understand the difference in the mechanism. Very interesting! You might try picking up the Wiha 57816 wire strippers. They are the sharpest strippers I've ever used. The cutting edge and inside edge of the stripper part are extremely sharp like a knife and really do work better than their competitors (Klein, et al). Perhaps they wear out faster though? I'm not sure as I haven't used them that much.

Klein and other manufacturers of this style stripper usually indicate that you actually are supposed to go 1 size down for stranded vs. solid wire.

You can get depth stops for those other wire strippers, for example the Engineer PA-90 wire stripper depth gauge. They attach to that mystery hole. I guess that other manufacturers would have the same type of item buried somewhere deep in their websites.

I've found some pliers on sale and was wondering between knipex and Wiha which are better made and will last the longest. The sets include diagonal cutters long nose pliers and combo pliers. The only down right up front advantage I can see is the Wiha have a good looking soft grip industrial handles while the knipex are the plastic dip style handles.

Thanks for the review, but without the correct AWG dies, it's too flawed to be compared accurately. Please get the AWG dies!

I use the Knipex 12 12 13 (AWG dies) to strip ETFE wire (M22759/32) and it works pretty well.

Just grab a couple sets of Greenlee standard wire strippers like @ 2:07 (for different gauges) Can't ever go wrong with greenlee tools!

I normally like Knipex products but this one seems to be bit hard to use when you have to be sure that you get the wire to the right slot.

Klein tools (American) makes a wire stripper similar too this but i don’t believe it is for Teflon (I’m not sure) I just use it on regular wire, and it works flawlessly

I really wanted to like these (I got 12 12 14); I work with PTFE wiring in 18 to 24 gauge daily (M27500/24SB2T23 etc) and found them almost impossible to use. Would routinely fail to fully strip the insulation, would strip conductors out of the wire, or would get caught in the stripping motion and the work and the tool would get fouled up. Only poor quality Knipex tool I’ve had.

Hi there. Have you found any perfect stripper for PTFE wires? Any recommendations based on your experience would be most helpful.

I've been an industrial electrician for over 20 years. After so long you get to where you can just use whatever is handy to strip anything, lol. I usually use side-cutters.

Teflon though? I am also watching this video because I don't want to leave a mark on the silver plated wire I am using for RF purposes.

Heat based Teflon wire strippers work best. I bought an old used model on eBay for 10 cents on the dollar and it's now my go to stripper for Teflon wire.

Ugly tools both of them ... Not practical at all ..The cutter You use to cut wire 2:22 min is the best cutter & stripper too ..👍
