Cute house, nice corner lot. There is more going on than just a "broken" mower. I get being financially tight. It doesn't cost anything to pick up after your pet, pull some weeks, put in some effort, and be a good neighbor. That lot looked like it had been growing all season. Kudos to you for hanging in there and making it a lot better. I hope they appreciated the effort you put into it. I'm sure their neighbors did. God bless.

I actually got a new edger. This one works good for sidewalks that have already been maintained but for one with a lot of dirt hanging over it isn't as good. I used my new one on the next lawn and it was a champ.

New subscriber here. Love finding you guys up in my home state! Specially, my home area of Detroit. 😁 I don’t think I’ve seen as clean as street side gutter ever, and all the videos I watched. But even then you did a terrific job cleaning up all the edges and making them nice and sharp looking. I follow anywhere from 10 to 15 different lawn restoration companies and I don’t think I’ve seen any of them ever encounter the 🐶💩 problem !! Fire ants, wasps, snakes, and even mice and rats, and occasionally a dog may bark at them, but never what they ever leave behind!! Welcome to my lawn restoration catalog! Maybe someday you’ll come across Midlife Stockman, and Leaving a Mark some where there in Michigan around you.

My biggest problem is I’m diabetic and I’ve got neuropathy bad where I don’t have very good balance anymore. But I can still ride my mower. At least my nephew helps with my weed eating. I am going to catch up on your catalog of videos. And it looks like you’ve studied some of these other guys to make your own kind of style and system.

I have a simple solution to dog mementoes for the homeowners - keep dog bags with you every time you take the dog out. It's not difficult. On a busy corner, you're not going to let the fur-baby out without a leash - bring bags with you . . . next time, it will be you running the mower. Your neighbours don't want the smell, you don't want the flies. Despite the detours, you did a terrific job!
@UpNorthMowingDude5 ай бұрын
I think they do let them out off-leash. But yes, it should be an easy solution.

The adults are getting a job done better than they could guess. As you noticed, it wasn't just "mow the grass". The trim/edger work you are putting in, will last a long time and make the place look extra good. 7:19, the contrast in care condition between the current lawn and the neighborhood is notable. Figure the final pictures will show it matches. (13:34, you can see your work fitting right in.) As you finish, the home looks nicely presented in the yard. Sorry you hit a minefield, not sanitary at all unfortunately. Excellent work.

I live in a duplex and have to mow my own yard with a push mower. (I'm 74) I had noticed a dog pile a couple of times in my front yard, that I picked up so my mower wouldn't hit it and stink and stink up my garage. The second time, I said, out loud, "I'd like to catch whoever is letting their dog s##t in my yard!" I turned back to head into the house and the neighbor who lives in the other side of the duplex was outside letting his dog relieve itself. I know he heard me. After that I haven't had anymore piles in my yard. I hate it when pet owners don't pick up after their pets, especially when they let the pet use someone else's yard as a toilet. I'm sorry you had to do that and got hit. The yard looks great though.

I have been retired from this business for 2 years now, the dog poop in the face is pretty nasty stuff, the fresh ones are the worst ! So they own a dog and let it crap everywhere and don't pick it up?? So they have inconsiderate neighbors that let their dog crap and they don't pick it up?????. Bad either way. Yuk!!!!! How do you allow your dog to crap and crap and crap and never clean it up.....
@UpNorthMowingDude5 ай бұрын
Well.........I'm not sure. The grass was so long I didn't even see it until I started mowing. Would probably be hard to pick it up if you can't see it. Some of it had been there a LONG time, possibly since winter. Yeah with a couple of young kids I'd think you'd want to create a space they could run around in.
@paulet36825 ай бұрын
Be glad you aren't a cable or phone service person. Some people don't pick up all winter, make land mines for service people that often work in the dark yard, even in summer. My son tracked it into his truck without knowing and had to clean it out during winter, when you can't hose anything because of the cold. Really, really, really angry.
