I am not an English native speaker, so let me tell you that your pronunciation and ideas exposition is one of the most clear ways I've seen in KZbin. I came here a for tick tick expert, and now I am enjoying so much these other topics, please keep on!!

There was research done years ago saying people/student remember more when they actually write down their notes instead of typing them in class or afterwards - Sorry I can’t remember where I heard that but thought it made a lot of sense at the time. Responding to emails, following-up, etc. could also hide a FOMO (fear of missing out); all the “what if”. I did a lot of research for my jobs and at one point I went to see an ENT to check my ears. The conclusion was that I had perfect hearing, sometimes too much (I’m sensitive to certain sounds) but I can be so deep in my task that I ignore what’s going on around me; that is also a trait for someone who has ADHD, so not that uncommon. Looking forward to hear more about your book, Nicole

Nice coincidence: I just started this book, too. Decided to read it even though Cal's ideas are freely available in his podcasts, videos etc.

Yes, I also listen to a lot of Cal's podcasts. But it is nice to have a succinct and complete set of ideas to read. Plus I feel reading is a way for me to "practice" deep work.

@@JoshuaBest Totally agree. 👍🏼Looking forward to the Part 2 video, although I'm behind and just started with Part 1. I'm also a long-time fan and user of TickTick. I discovered your channel on KZbin through a recommendation. Despite the robust system and approach already in place, I find it helpful to see how other users leverage the tool. For instance, after watching your recent video, I now have a "DAILY NOTES" list where I jot down notes, ideas, and anything I want to log throughout the day. Thank you for the suggestion!
