Hi Matt (spelling?) I commented on another video but caught your nice intro on this one. I'm still trying to piece together the story of your channel and am unfortunately distracted while watching and might miss some stuff. So, here's a comment for the algorithm. Thanks for sharing what you do! This ought to be a good one. I have run a new small dozer but never a big one, but did get to do a little work with a 349 excavator 120k pounds and have run a 40 ton rock truck and smaller machines so I can relate to your channel.

Great to see how you deal with educating the youth. And that grandpa is being teased, will probably fit in the chapter "returning favours":-) Great little dozer, beware the cilinder hoses tend to dry out and might cause issues when stressed after sitting for a while. You are an awesome bunch!

Just found this channel, good to see some aussie content. Sure is a big spread you are working there, makes me miss my station days, one whole day on the motorbike just to check the boundary fences. The D4 looks to be a handy machine, I like the idea of teaching the kids how to drive it.

that D4 looks big to me, but I have never seen a high drive on that small a dozer before either, that probably makes it look taller. Old country saying, stick to the black soil in the dry, and it will stick you you in the wet! :)

Don't want to be picky mate but what you're calling an idler is actually a carry roller and more beneficial to have and not have as its designed to reduce track pin wear and also reduce track slap.

Smashing stuff Matt. Are there plans to sell the development block in the future or are you going to continue to farm it? Are there other farms in the area for development? D4 looks a cracker! Kids will love learning too use it, I know I would of I was a kid there.

Are those tracks extended wider than what is normal?
@thejacksonbrothers2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, the d4 is a LGP (low ground pressure) model so it originally had wider grouser plates so the drive sprockets are wider then normal I think, at some point just put standard tracks on it👍
@alansmith22812 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt i have operated heaps LGP dozens D7 and D6t they are amazing where they will go in soft ground? If you got a set swamp tracks for the D4 for winter work be great for finishing of work after the D11 ?The D4 would just about walk on water with swamp tracks .

Just curious, with all the rust on the ‘Tiny’s’ they are obviously not being used. You kinda do some light mechanic work on them. There’s lots of other rusty equipment sitting around. Your visual content is confusing. What actually, is the purpose of your channel? Are you selling used Cat equipment?

Hi mate, the dozers have a bit of age on them and probably haven’t seen a shed in there previous lives, we are farmers but its hard to tell sometimes😂. If you watch one of our first videos titled “why we have 2 d11s” it might answer some questions👍
