I'd love a lesson on The One and Only.... Great vid. Behringer make components for all the big companies including some very high end, boutique stuff so it's not a shock that it sounds good.

I got that pedal a few months ago. I have it on my board now. It cost me $18.00 on Sweetwater.

Got a couple of these to try and create a cheap SRV pedal board, didn’t realise how much it reduces the bass frequencies, there great pedals, and real cheap. Great video 👍🏻

John, I bought that Behringer pedal after watching JHS Pedals What’s the deal with Behringer? Video. I have since bought every Behringer pedal. The Behringer 19” rack mount guitar effects box is outstanding.👍👍

So that’s what tube screamers are suppose to sound like, now I have a reference point thanks as always John.

Hi John, this is just for info, but I live in Germany and the correct pronunciation is Bay-ringer (ringer like bell ringer) . But the main thing is that I have got this pedal on my fly rig cos my actual Ibanez weighs a ton in comparison, and the Behringer is as near as dammit, to my ears!

Yes, that is a very good sound, I love it! Sounds like some James Gang Live, have mercy! Those were the days!!!

Very fair review John. It sounds good, it's 20 quid, that's all that matters.

I have the Harley Benton (/Joyo) version of the tubescreamer and have been happy with it. Good value and made out of metal. Probably gives same kind of experience as the Behringer. 😀

How is it called? I searched Harley Benton Tube Screamer and found nothing. Or is it the Harley Benton Vintage Overdrive?
@JBM_713 жыл бұрын
@@duesenberger It is called the 'Vintage Overdrive'.

they're all pretty much in the same pocket in terms of sound, grab the one you like, can't go wrong

If the Harley Benton sounds as good but it’s made of metal, surely that’s the way to go? Two years on is it still working ok?
@JBM_71 Жыл бұрын
Haven't used it in a while. My son has just borrowed it for some gigs. I'll let you know.

John have you ever tried the tone city range of pedals? Most of them are in the £40-45 price range and are very good.
@paulmarshall2007 Жыл бұрын
Have you compared this to the Harley Benton vintage overdrive? About the same price. So Seems like if it sounds as good then it’d be a no brainer to go with that one as its in a metal case rather than plastic.

I traded for a ts5 sound tank last year its great, plastic casing is annoying but sounds brilliant, and getting quite collectable, apparently...

Thx for the video. Was searching for a nicely priced tube screamer for my setup. Does Behringer have something in the treblebooster category, too, You could recommend?

So there's this fine sounding Behringer TO800 for a mighty cheap $33CAD plus the higher cost of a reverb or delay pedal, which takes me over $100CAD, versus the Sonicake Rockstage with a few pedals built in for less than $100CAD. I've been back and forth on this but I'm leaning toward the Rockstage, to mate with my old Peavey Companion 15W amp that has no reverb or delay or fx loop built in.
@frankcarter64273 жыл бұрын
I've got the reverb, cost nowt, sounds OK, cheapy plazzy housing and blue led so powerful it can burn retinas at 100m

i have a TS9 and a Yamaha Overdrive pedal and the Yamaha has a great warm boost whereas the Ibanez is a bit too bright. the Behringer does sound lovely and is full value at 20 quid.
@bcolinranken3 жыл бұрын
Apparently the circuit in that is exactly the same as the tube screamer… ??
@mikehurley50523 жыл бұрын
Thats a good deal for 20 notes. Probably aimed at us bedroom players, being plastic would be ok in my house.
@BrianGay573 жыл бұрын
Too bad I don’t get along with TS type pedals. I have a TS9 and an OD-3, and (to me) the OD-3 is the best tube screamer there is, so I am covered if I need one. The Behringer sounds like a good choice for someone who doesn’t already have dozens of TS type pedals. Many guitar players seem to have multiple versions of what is basically the same thing already.
@Vincentbrennan13013 жыл бұрын
Maybe as with Guitars pedals have come to the price point of affordable and useable.
