Raceroom has the same problem as rF2, but in bigger scale: Nürburgring feels nice because it's laserscanned, but falls off a cliff with their non-laserscanned flat-tracks, so all others. In AMS2 there are quite a few tracks laserscanned I guess, but most are not and difficult to tell because the differences are subtle. I can feel it more with the motion of the GS-5 and I guess Reiza just copy & pasted laserscanned surface-patches on every track which obviously is the way to do it. You can feel some generic repeating small-bumps pattern and the laserscanned tracks have a bit more unique surface character, but it's subtle while in rF2 even some mods feel a lot better than the non-laserscanned tracks of S397 and RR just feels flat.

Turn up bump amplification in ffb settings and Raceroom will stop feeling flat.

I should maybe try this again. There’s something about either the physics or the FF that feels a little off. I put it back on about a month ago and couldn’t get into it after ACC and AMS2. I own all the content for RR but every time I’ve gone online with it everyone was playing the free cars and track.

You can ALWAYS get the basic Raceroom completely for free. The Steam Race Fest has nothing to do with it. And Raceroom already set up all the content free before Steam started with the Race Fest.

Have you adjusted the car specific FFB? It's default is 1.0 and goes up to 10. This is independent of game options.

I only ever play in VR but anytime I play RR or ACC online all the other cars twitch all around and look like the are floating on the track. I find iRacing to be the only sim worth a damn racing against other humans. I wish RR worked for me.

For ACC you need to put Shadows minimum on HIGH and Post Processing minimum on MID to get rid of the floating cars. I find it also very weird and not nice and annoying but shadows on high and post processing on mid it’s gone
