Riding in Thailand is always an Awesome Adventure so Recording it on Camera and finding it with Google Maps makes sense. After a few years of riding here are a few suggestions for GPS, Cameras, and mobile phones plus some accessory Suggestions. My Honda NC750X has 229,000K and runs great and takes me everywhere. Light off road and highway riding is not an issue with this reliable motorcycle. What does a NC do Special ? Nothing, it just does everything well.
Follow my adventures as I ride a total of 3 Hondas in Thailand. A CT125 Hunter Cub, A CRF250L & my NC750X
Whatever you ride , just enjoy the wind in your face.

Great information and footage Mike, it really depresses me to see visitor areas closed “due to covid” when being out in the country is a such a natural way to social distance. Totally illogical totalitarianism and one of the worst aspects of this sad social and economic reset.

I have to make do with local trips around n.ireland, but not complaining as it’s on a par with many beautiful parts of the world. Thks again

@mikefreeriderAsia
@mikefreeriderAsia Жыл бұрын
My model has only two modes drive and sport and I usually put it in sport and paddle shift all the time. If you see some of my other videos I used to have a newer Honda X-ADV750 which had the more updated DCT system which was really awesome but I don't mind paddling and I'm just used to it now if I'm off-road on steep mountain roads I definitely will go back to manual 100%. Thanks for watching

Hi from Devon UK, seriously thinking about this Honda as my next bike, thanks for all the useful info. Interesting to see you ride on the left-hand as in the UK, is that the same for many countries in this area.
@mikefreeriderAsia
@mikefreeriderAsia 2 жыл бұрын
Left hand drive is popular in countries that were controlled by England but Thailand was not colonized but it adopted the English way also Japan drives on the left Australia New Zealand but China, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam and Myanmar drive on the right

Do you get any overheating problems from the bike? You mentioned before in another video you changed the water pump, at what mileage was that? Im going to see a 2015 NC with DCT and 32150km on it later this week so I’m just doing some research… TIA Nice videos, I’m glad I found the channel…👍
@mikefreeriderAsia
@mikefreeriderAsia 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your subscription. I have never had any overheating problems, I changed the water pump because it's starting to squeal a little bit it was just very fine noise but the cost of changing it was not that expensive and I did it as a preventive maintenance and that was in around 220,000 km or something. Even in the hot country like Thailand when it runs up to 36 or more the fan will come on and keep the engine cool enough to ride. 32,000 km that bike has not been ridden very much and these engines will last forever if it was well maintained.. let me know how it goes

@@mikefreeriderAsia I just picked up my NC750X DCT today and I’m very impressed with it. It’s not the one I previously mentioned though, that was sold before I got to it. The one I got is a 2019 with 10056miles on it. I find it very high so I’ll probably lower it an inch. Otherwise, handling, brakes, gear changes and so on are great. It’ll be another fun bike in my toy box. Thanks again for the videos and info…👍👍

Do you use any kind of cruise control alternative for long rides?
@mikefreeriderAsia
@mikefreeriderAsia 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I use a throttle lock and I also have a plastic that I can rest my palm on. I never recommend the throttle lock because if you panic you have a good chance of actually speeding up instead of slowing down and disengaging it is supposed to be by applying a break but it doesn't quite disengage it properly. In Thailand any major highway with traffic and other things going on it's difficult to engage a cruise control for any period of time. Ride safe

Really motivating me to buy a NC750X, but to be honest, I'm afraid i would miss some HP. Great Bike i guess
@mikefreeriderAsia
@mikefreeriderAsia 3 жыл бұрын
I had a BMW r1150 Rockster, it was really powerful and fast but was limited to Highway so I'll take the versatility of the NC which is good in all conditions. It's actually quite good in the twisties but on some long uphills yeah you could use up a little bit more power but all the other advantages outweigh the inefficiency of this bike. Whatever you decide as long as it puts a smile on your face is the most important thing

I am currently riding on continental tkc 80 in the front and a continental tkc 70 in the back. The reason is the tkc 80 in the back would not last more than 10,000 km but on the front it's no issue and currently this combination has 19,000 km. This was only 15th set of tires on this motorcycle.
