@benjaminstorace66995 жыл бұрын
@ronnie doorzon You're real issue is with the hierarchical globe spanning church organizations. A perfectly valid issue. One I would agree with, as any such uniting of religion and state power is specifically for the purpose of controlling "the masses". However, regardless of the question of God, personally held beliefs that help a person exercise self control and act as a better person should not be callously mocked, as they are a net benefit to everyone. Sure, John from down the road may come by every so often asking if he can talk to you about Jesus, but he's a decent bloke with an upstanding character who will probably help you out in a pinch. Better than some people today who will actually harangue you about their cause, and call you all sorts if names for disagreeing with them.

Brilliant orchestra. All too often we forget the work that goes into making a film score. We hear it whilst watching the movie and if we like it we listen it on DVD or youtube and give credit sometimes to the person who wrote the music. Rarely do we think of the orchestra, the skill of the players, who have to get it just right. If just one person makes a mistake, slips a note or comes in to early than he or she mess's the whole thing up for the entire orchestra. It is a great privilege to actually see an orchestra at work playing our favourite film score and the Danish |National Symphony Orchestra do it so well.

I was born in Italy in 1964, my dad started taking me to these movies in bologna when I was still in diapers til 1970 when we to America, he also bought me the 45 records which I would play incessantly on my phonograph, I can say unequivocally that these renditions are not only the most accurate to the originals I have ever heard, but they also attest to the genius of ennio for producing the same sound with what I assume was a considerably smaller orchestra, I have never truly appreciated the effort it must have taken him to get that sound back then than seeing it performed here, bravissimo

@Danish National Symphony Orchestra, should definately go ahead and create some more historical event videos for all of us to listen.... Younger generation ain't aware of such music... They must be made aware of such music by listening to them....

That is actually one of their key points. To bring awareness to young people, inspire them and develop their talents and potential. This has been one of their cornor stones sinch they were founded in 1925. Danes are smart cookies and way ahead many when we speak of human development. Your idea is not new but 100 years old, literally.

They really put a lot of effort into these performances - it must have taken a hell of a lot of rehearsal and sound-checks to get the overall performance just right. They really tried (and succeeded) to get as close to the raw score as you'd heard on the cinema sound track. They even out Morricone Morricone on his concert performances.
