Very interesting. When seen five hour game I thought was fixed caps but quite a long progressive is just as interesting.

Oh I see the problem with the joker code now too! They have the cards code set up to look for the highest fixed trade. So if you have a fixed 10 set it will default to that, other wise it starts looking for joker combinations to make the largest set. They probably just need to have two different alg. for making sets with fixed and prod. Fixed can maximize the set and prog can focus on non joker sets.

This is exactly why I stopped playing progressive caps. It gets so frustrating when the game becomes more about who can stack their capital and wait for their opponents to get bored and bot out vs actual strategy to win the game.

Really interesting to see such an unusual situation. I'm still very much a newcomer to Risk but I love the complex tactical element of games like this. I have a question though. Was it a mistake to try and block Yellow taking cards on your territories for most of the middle of the game? It seemed like that ended up almost card blocking yourself, and with the Yellow bot breaking big stacks of yours, whereas when the map was more chaotic and you just let that bot take cards freely you ended up finding it easier to choke Red together. Or did that only work because you pushed Yellow into Red to begin with?
