I like my Solden jacket, although it is the previous version, which didn't have this cool ribbed stitching on the back and arms. If I were to be really nitpicky, the neck fits quite loosely when zipped all the way up, there's a tad bit of fabric puckering in the lower back area. But these things are understandably difficult to get perfectly right for an off-the-rack item! On the whole, I have to say Daniel Love is doing God's work delivering accurate pieces to us fans for reasonable pricetags.

Hi David, I think it was you that pointed me in the direction of Royalefilmwear in a video a few years back, but it was only about two weeks ago that I finally decided to pull the trigger on this. It just arrived from Australia to the UK and I'm very happy with it. Of course, there are areas where it doesn't match the original - but it's only a replica and captures the look which is the most important thing. Without Daniel Love taking care of the fans, we would not have this jacket in our frugal arsenals! The Large fits my 44-chest without feeling tight and is surprisingly weighty. I thought it would be very light. The quality is eveident. Sleeves are about 6-inches too long for me but that's because I'm short! It's 11 degrees Celsius here and the jacket performed wonderfully. I'm sure it will hold up in colder weather and if needs be, one can always add layers. A solid recommendation for anyone looking to buy this. Thanks David for your reviews and clothing videos and to Daniel for fast service and excellent clothing.

Love that you do Frugal Bond. Bond is for everyone, great that Royale Filmwear does these. It was never my fave outfit but I like the retro sensibility that Jany Temine brought to it, the Vuarnet glasses too. The TF jacket is cool and there are many lookalikes out there now from Nike to Moncler. Anyway, roll on Bond 25 pieces. How would you dress Bond for his Norwegian adventure David?

The Solden Jacket looks very sporty but also classy and modern. Simply a nice contemporary jacket/sweater of the 2010s. Have seen a guy who wore a similiar to the Tom Ford version but it was a hybrid jacket from Canada Goose but it also looked great

The jacket is great quality, however I agree with Eeriewolf that the back is too long and therefore it puckers. Mine is longer looking than the above video and the sleeves are also very long so bear in mind these may need tailoring.

Yes, Daniel mentioned the knit could be tailored and thus this would give it a better look.

For the boots, check out the commander boots from Thursday Boots. They look very similar to to Danners but they don’t have as deep of treads as them. Still worth checking out.

Really like the solden jacket, however it looks a little long, especially at the back. I'd like the fit to be closer to the waist to wear with jeans for example. Any suggestion, would it be possible to tailor this myself? Regards, Joe.

Yes, it can be easily tailored, and I agree it is a bit long.

Interesting how long it took for this style of jacket to go "mainstream". Was called a "hybrid". Jasper Conran did a similar style (albeit blue material in the arms and back) last autumn here in the UK. Retailed at £50. Like you say, it captures the "essence" without just being a knock-off. I also recently bought a dark blue suede jacket, inspired by Spectre's London scenes. I don't care that it's not the exact style of the film, it's still a racer collar, but I feel great wearing it, which is the point right?

Hi David. I have the last version of the Daniel Love Skyfall Peacoat, in a medium. Great fit, just had to have the arms shortened a little. For the Solden Jacket would you recommend the medium, or the large. I'm a 38/40 chest. By the way, thank you for all the information you give.
