I really hope you get better soon! Back in the early 70s my Great Aunt taught me how to decorate cakes, she did some gorgeous wedding cakes but I did mostly Disney characters. She taught me to always freeze the cakes the day they were baked and decorate the next day. It helped hold in moisture and the icing would adhere to the surface much better. That was long before fondant came out. I have all sorts of reusable bags, couplers and tips. So much fun!

Leslie I so enjoyed this video. It brought back sweet memories of my mom and us cooking g together for the holidays. Bryant coming in and helping what a blessing. Daddy would cut up pecans for mama he liked being in the kitchen. I miss them so much as I'm sure you miss yours. But thank God for special memories.

Feel better, Leslie. I also have fall allergies that can knock me down a bit. I recommend warming a tablespoon or two of honey and stirring in a half teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Be careful it's not too hot and drink it down to soothe your throat.

Praying you all feel better! It’s rainy here in eastern KY gonna be all day. Gonna have to turn the music up or a movie to drown out the rain or I won’t get anything done. Making cranberry salad today. Turkey tomorrow and taking off the bone and putting in aluminum pan with some of the drippings and in fridge till Thursday so thursdays cooking will be easy!! Today cleaning and finish my village!!

Mucinex ! I use the day time one and then the night time. Works great! Then, there always theraflu hot drink. I keep mucinex on hand, it’s saved me so many times .I think the night time realy helps to wake up feeling better.

Oh how I feel for you. I hate sinus/allergy stuff. You gotta sip on some hot tea and slather the soles of you feet with Vicks Vapor Rub and slap on a warm pair of socks...that'll fix you up. I know the Vicks thing is weird but it really does work to pull everything down from your head. God bless you all!

Local honey may be beneficial for seasonal allergies. I'm having sinus inflammation from interacting with a lonely cat. Mom and I have been feeding a friend's cat while she is away. Poor thing is starved for attention as we only drop by once a day. Probably when his owner is there he gets way more attention. I'm allergic to cats.

PLEASE. Be careful with the allergy cough. My friend had a cough all last week. Kept saying it is just allergies. He went to the hospital over the weekend and they told him he has pneumonia. He let it go too long so please be careful your Thanksgiving dinner is going to be delicious. Everything looks wonderful. My family asked for a chocolate cake this year, so I’m going to make the famous Hershey’s chocolate cake. It is the best happy Thanksgiving.
