@mr.truffles9294 The d10 is the only odd one out in a geometric sense. The others are all platonic solids. No other reason. It seemed to work nicely with five dice. Also, I guess, coz you already have lots of chances of rolling low numbers so removing a d10 means slightly more chance of not doubling up those single digit numbers

As such, he gets certain spells that others don't get, he gets certain features like improved healing, but to have Modify Memory, he would have had to choose Trickery subclass.

Yeah, spells really fall off in DND because the proficiency bonus doesn't keep up with monster saves. A +10 to a roll is insane. It's the same issue with ac. Late game enemies are getting +10 or higher to hit. Game feels like it was designed to be balanced around early levels when creatures and monsters abilities roughly match the players. At later game you might as well not wear any armor or have anything that forces a save outside of int or cha saves.

Rules for the dice game for those who want to play it but couldn't process it while the video was going Roll : 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 1d12 and 1d20. Starting player chooses the highest or lowest value they have, stating if it was their highest or lowest. This sets the boundary for higher or lower. (Example: they played a 3, lowest number) The other player then must use the opposite boundary. (12, highest) The starting player then must play a die within that number boundary. For instance if the upper was 12 and the lower was 3 then any number 4-11 will work. Then it goes back to the second player, if the first plays a 6 then the boundary is now 6-12 (they're the lower jaw) and the second player needs to play a 7-11. They play a 10 so the upper jaw is now 10. The first player has to play a number between 7-9, they don't have a die for that and they lose.

With the dice rolling double 20 and then double 7, i thought at first that Rob pulled some kind of trick with fake dice, but seeing his surprise it was all a mathematical wonder 😀 The reaction from Rob when he put the dragons jaw at 7, I could feel the satisfaction from here 😲, was allready preparing myself to see bodger with one arm and the Greg steps in to save the day, but then i heard his save dc was 16.... Speculations should BATD go into a fight: The giant is a hexblade warlock (-ish) with a special ability that allows him to use a bonus action each turn and bet on another character's action. Either that character cannot perform that action, or if they do it it gives the giant a buff. Gotta admire Rob's ability to create good boss fights, that two second clip already made the encounter so unique.

Rob's chance of rolling that narrow range by luck is *exactly 1/20*: ≤ 4 on the d8 (1/2) and d12 (1/3); ≤ 6 on the d20 (6/20); d4 and d6 are less important. If Krik Nikkelzoon has powers like Bob's, perhaps he could spend a "guaranteed 1/20 success" token to ensure it. That would also explain his overall success at gambling.

I like the fact that Rowan is the CEO but Rob seems to be the most mature and responsible of the bunch at the table and everyone follows his direction. Kinda like a Super CEO. (Plugging Rob joining Bored as something other than a customer here, in case that wasn't clear)
