Used one of these last night down here in Baldwin county. I like mine. The only problem was that there was no rain in the forecast so I didn’t bring my tarp. Well as luck would have it, the rain came about dark and it was heavy. Long night to say the least because when drops hit the bug net each one is spit into a dozen or more.

I like that I have a regular hammock of there's a poncho and the chair backpack cover/ gear hammock they sent me Free. My only concern is mosquito won't bite underneath or your just not covered there?

Great video Blackie, and yes I have one of those similar I love it. Wolf spiders? They don't bother me at all, in fact I figured they're going to hunt the insects that are going to bite me anyways. We have a lot of these little jumping spiders called, Bold spiders. They're like little dogs 🤣🤣🤣. Since I live in a large van I often will catch them and release them in my van as a pest control. We got a real nasty spider here called a brown widow, the Bold spiders love to eat those. You know it would be a great video to do on what type of insects do you have down there in your South. And what kind of damage they will do to you and how you can mitigate it. Seems like folks are freaked out about bugs, but it's a subject they don't want to talk about. 🙏🐺

What kind of insect repellent do you use? I'm in south Louisiana and I'm starting to think mosquitos and deer flies are starting to like the smell of Off repellent.

treat your clothes and Hammock with permethrin...makes a big difference...I like a bugspray with picardin in it myself

Yes those are great Concepts I've had tons of hammocks that have the built-in bug net the only problem is they're about 90% effective except when you lay your arm against the mosquito net at night in the mosquitoes bite you through the screen and or they can and will bite you through the hammock material itself so I have them with the built-in yes they're great idea in concept and all the good stuff but they're not 100% foolproof the only ones that are 100% foolproof for the ones that fully encapsulate the entire hammock and then you use drawstrings that you attach to the side of the mesh to pull it away from the hammock itself is the only way to keep 100% mosquito free sleeping in a hammock during the summer on the other hand a mosquito net does block a lot of the wind believe it or not so yes it's very good additional layer in winter time thank you for your time and your videos
