I read these a few years ago and I remember really loving them. Content is intense for something categorized as young adult but the mystery and the writing were sooooo entertaining!

Loved this! I really do enjoy watching live reactions when people are reading, because it’s one thing to watch a review and another to watch as you physically had to take a break haha 😂

7:05 that’s how I felt about the Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes! The “mystery” or the “game” didn’t have a definitive end in the first book & it was really annoying/excessive that there wouldn’t be some sort of finality. That’s one of the many reasons I decided not to continue with the series 😅

It was interesting to me seeing you show the first few pages of the first book cause I had heard that the US printed a different version of it to the UK to make it set in the US rather than the UK and I could see even from the first page with her typed out project that it's different. The UK version had it laid out exactly like my own EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) at school was. It's interesting cause I've heard that people who read the US version have some different feelings about Pip's character to those who read the UK version because American Pip and English Pip aren't quite the same apparently haha

That’s so interesting they changed it to match the country!

@OceanaGottaReadEmAll I think the success of the US one influenced the author's works later on as well cause both her standalones that came out after AGGGTM are set in the US even though the author is from the UK herself

@@forgetmenot433 wow. The US market is certainly large and where the money is if you can break into it. Good for the author but probably sad for the UK readers who got to read something set where they live finally!

The Netflix series was really good. I bought the audiobook after watching it, and I'm really enjoying it too. Good to know the story holds up through all three books.

I’ve only read the first one, but I really liked it & want to continue the series. I definitely don’t think it should be YA at least not young teens, but still

I’ve had the 1st book on my shelf for a couple of years. Now I need to read it so I can experience the anxiety too!! 😂 Also I peek at the end of books too. I want the story but sometimes you just gotta know who makes it to the last page. 🤓

I love watching these types of videos, although my bank account would disagree, because I am more likely to want to read something if I see such big reactions and such! I have heard of these books (and the tv show) but never read them. I want to now though lol! 😂

I'm a Christian and read this trilogy. I enjoyed it despite the excessive (In my opinion) F words, and the darkness. I agree that it's addictive and makes you want to keep reading. The last book definitely went there and I think the thing most people don't like is that Pip does something in the third book (iykyk) that seems to go against the type of person she is. I'm still watching your video and am curious to see what you think about it, lol. Overall, I recommend the series, with all the content warnings.
