This Norwegian band had huge success in the United Kingdom including 18 top 40 hits (9 of which reached the top 10) this song reached number two and the follow up single titled The sun always shines on TV reach number one in the charts. They also recorded the theme tune to the James Bond film The Living Daylights.

Love that you're flashing me back to all of the stuff I grew up on. You have no idea how ground-breaking this video was. They didn't have computers to do graphics. This was done by hand. MTV started in 1981 and the field was wide open for artists to explore new ideas. Maybe check out Peter Gabriel's "Sledge Hammer" where they shot a frame, changed something (even if it was just his mouth position), shot the next frame and so on using stop motion techniques.

I love this song, growing up in the 80s and 90s, I loved the music then as well as stuff up to now and inbetween. But people who don't know this song, but know the song blinding lights by The weeknd. That's a great song too. I do feel The weeknd was inspired by that iconic music jingle. It's not the same, but that 80s sound jingle to it and some variation, but makes me think of this song.

If every song that some resemblance to the other was considered copied, then every singer or band would be paying previous popular singers or bands. I love watching people react to this video for the first time. One of the best videos ever, and one of the best video/song pairings ever. The graphics are pretty good for today but they were absolutely mind-blowing back in 1985. There was nothing close to this anywhere. Extreme cutting edge. I've yet to see anyone yawn watching this video. It's riveting.

They as well as Annifrid Lyngstad aka (Frida) The Brunette from Abba were the only folks of Norwegian Blood to do American Bandstand. People loved this Video (including myself) back in the day.

This was on MTV constantly in 1985 when they actually played music videos 24 hours a day. The video has been viewed more than ONE BILLION times and won many awards.
