You are always so entertaining to watch even if I'm not familiar with any of the books, LOL! I tried to read Barbara Chase Riboud also and was not able to finish it but the new one sounds interesting! Looking forward to hearing your review! I saw the author of Madness and that books sounds interesting too but my spirit can only take happy endings right now...I just finished that Olivia Matthews Coconut Drop Dead and it was the best one so far! The grandmother is my favorite character so I liked that her past was a part of it. Have that Sara Paretsky on deck but haven't started. Dinner sounded delicious! 🤎

Hey, hey, hey! You must've tried Riboud's Venus book before as well. I can't remember why it didn't work, but I hope to go back to it should Mrs. Elias pulls through. And I hear you on Madness. It's certainly a book that you have to be in the right frame of mind to take on. I thought Coconut Drop Dead was the best one as well. I'm hoping Matthews gets to write more books in the series to develop it further.

You've a whole host of books here that I've never heard of before, but I hope you find some new favourites among them. When it comes to non-fiction, I have a similar need for that narrative style as opposed to sounding like a textbook - look forward to hearing what you make of them.

Ahhhhhh! 😬 Listennnnn, I'm giving it the heavy side-eye. If it's that "wine with pizza and a bubble bath" type of melodrama... I can't! But I have a back up plan in Womb City by Tlotlo Tsamaase. Though I'm remaining optimistic about The Fury. If you finish it, please let me know what you thought of it!

Our book club removed it from the final poll and replaced it with All the Sinners Bleed. In the end a fantasy book won the February spot which is more my speed. I appreciate the update and confirming my suspicions. 😅

I still need to read the Lord of the Rings books. I have read The Wheel of Time; that one was actually a huge inspiration for my own book.

OMG! Another WOT reader! Please, please share with me your favorite book and why as well as character. And link your book as well. I'm 120 pages into Fellowship of the Rings and having a blast. I think this is the only fantasy novel where I actually READ and ENGAGE with the songs! 😂😂😂

​@@TowelTroi Favorite book... I'd have to say where Perrin and Faile get married. I love them to bits and pieces. Add in Elayas and Hopper and you have my favorite characters. And my book is The Black Butterfly by Sarah Uher. it actually comes out next month, but Kindle is live for pre-orders. It's the first in a series I have been writing.
