I thought first it was a new model. But I’ve found a 2 years ago review from Chase Reaves on this backpack. I’ve noticed at 9:32 a small intelligent improvement concerning the mesh zipped pocket inside the front compartment : it now opens from the outside of the main pocket to the inside 👍

I’ve received the black canvas version : it’s a really well made compact backpack. As expected ! And the peek design wash pouch fits at the bottom of the main compartment !

Would you recommend the ballistic nylon or waxed canvas version?

If you want a backpack that's tough and durable, but also light, ballistic nylon is the way to go. But if you want a backpack with a vintage look that gets better with age, then waxed canvas is your best bet. Cheers!

How snug is the rainfly on the backpack considering it's not meant for the bag? Love the style of this backpack though. Nice and sleek.

The Incase rainfly is pretty decent. It has an elastic cuff so it will wrap around most bags and keep it tight. It comes in different sizes so you can roughly guestimate which size will fit your bag. - Ed

Are the pack straps comfortable when the bag is full? The straight shape and the hard edges look like they’d dig into your shoulders.

Not really, although I much prefer contoured straps myself. I haven't found myself packing this one super heavy because of the size of the bag however so that's probably why I hasn't been noticeable. Hope that helps! - Ed

Hi, This compact backpack looks awesome ! How comfortable is it while wearing a short sleeve t-shirt ? I am worried about irritating friction from the seatbelt harness that could rub against the skin of the arm

Hasn't had any issues for us so far - no friction issues when wearing the bag with a short sleeve tee.

you have some doubled frames in the video.... twice. about the bag - i like it pretty much, but i would like to delete those 2 "bottle sleeves" outside and incule some metale hardware.... i especially like that front compartment simple organization made from elastic strip, it makes the usability of compartment much better. thats something i would like to see in every vertical front compartment no matter the band...

Coming from Able carry and Evergoods, 210 lining seems weak. The water bottle pocket design seems to be an after thought.

I do know that Evergoods has some pretty insane interior linings, but I think Able Carry uses the same if not similar interior lining (210D ripstop). As for the water bottle pockets, I do wish they could accomodate bigger bottles, but being a 15L backpack I think it's fairly decent. Also those pockets have been really good for carrying other smaller bits and pieces - so it's not totally a waste. - Ed

There are some similarities for sure! Heavy duty materials, classic backpack silhouette. I'd say the Dashpack has a more tactical aesthetic on the outset though. - Ed

Hmmm I don't think so no. Arktype says on it's website that it fits 15" laptops. But it could be worth asking Arktype to double check.

@@RushfasterTV if it fits a 15 it will fit the 16. The new 16” MacBook Pro is the same dimensions as the 2015 15” MacBook Pro.
