Sorry this took 6 months LOL, but the long (awaited) return of the podcast where I go through the episodes of Helluva Boss with my friend (who's only seen season 1) is back finally (hopefully with less FP talking over them). I didn't bother editing many on screen visuals since it's a podcast so you're probably just going to listen to the audio only anyways and I am also incredibly lazy :). I hope you enjoy this since it's been long overdue haha. Also idk why my picture is so crushed in the actual render of the video but this took FOUR HOURS to render and I am NOT RENDERING IT AGAIN LOL.

This may be a controversial take, but I wish all if Helluva Boss were like the episode Cherubs, basically like how the show was pitched in the beginning, like The Office in hell.

I agree, maybe with a few episodes scattered with small lore tidbits. But not enough lore episodes to overtake the I.M.P. thing

I agree, I feel like most complaints about the show stem from the fact that they changed the overall tone and are trying to be less episodic.

The fast-paced nature of the Cherubs episode is probably due to the fact that Brandon Rogers had so much influence on it, more so than the other episodes of S1. (He said this in a stream on Vivziepop's KZbin channel---I think it was the S1 Helluva Boss watch-party.) The "shot-gun" style, with jokes being fired off in rapid succession, is pretty common in Brandon's videos.

I think my gripe with the Cherubs episode is that the Cherubs themselves annoy me, I don't really like looking at the Cherubs, and I just don't like looking at the old man, he also annoys me. The comedy is pretty good now that I'm thinking about it and I do love that the episode actually focuses on IMP, which seems nonexistent in Season 2.
