You did a great job on the video but just one part of the information is wrong. Husaberg started after Husqvarna was purchased by Cagiva ( which later was purchased by BMW ) and the former engineers from Husqvarna went to the Swedish government and got a grant to start Husaberg . KTM was wanting to use the Husaberg 4 stoke Engine valve technology and looked into a licensing the system from Husaberg but than just decided to buy the whole company. Once again you did a fantastic job on the video and I just found that one mistake because I used to work for the Eastern United States Distributor of Cagiva ( and that was a very unorganized group of Italians out there in California ). They liked to do a lot of liquid lunches 😜🍺🥃🍸

Italians in California ... what could possibly go wrong? :)) on a serious note, I did not know that, thanks for the input!

Great catch bro. I knew that too but just kept flowing with this awesome video. FYI I was the FIRST PERSON in NY State to buy a Cagiva. And it all started with a joke to my Italian repair shop owner. I'll post that story later if you guys show some interest. It's a hoot, I used to write food MX East and Cycle News here in the States.

Just found your channel. Well done! I raced Husky's starting in the 70's in the National Enduro series. I remember racing against a lot of European brands. DKW, Sachs, Puch's, Hercules. The Penton KTM.

Thank you so much on this history lesson. I have changed my opinion based on this history lesson, also to save the history of a motorcycle brand is very brave indeed and to keep the history is even more brave in this environment. I would love to see a history lesson of Husaberg and it final dissolution by KTM...

You’re not the only one who mentioned Husaberg ... and I saw everyone’s comments on other videos too, that one is definitely on the books for the near future!

Whatabout the Penton chapter?
@hoosiertrailrider Жыл бұрын
Yep, have to link the Penton import story into the building of the KTM brand. Great point!
