I cannot help but think the lack of egg-mayonnaise was a bad omen for this journey! 😄

Super speedy cars with race car handling and instant throttle response and all that sort of stuff are all well and good, especially if you have one of those lovely sweeping roads you see in the adverts, the Evo triangle or somewhere in the Highlands. But we live in the country portrayed in this film, one of traffic, delays, congestion and misery. Your face illuminated by the brake lights of a thousand cars rather than the joy of speeding through burning cornfields. So whilst a Porsche or some big wheeled Audi or BMW or whatever is all very nice, what we really need is something quiet, comfortable, easy to drive slowly, preferably automatic and with a nice stereo. So it makes it very strange that of the companies that made cars like this, Rover, Saab, Lexus, Volvo, half of them have fallen whilst the purveyors of cars you’d imagine to be very unsuitable for the driving conditions of modern England have flourished. I wonder if the people who like an AMGSLineMSportRSGT car sit on chunks of solid aluminium whilst watching Strictly Come In The Jungle rather than a nice soft sofa 🤔

Once when working in Cleckheaton, I found the M62 closed westbound due to a chemical lorry spill near Milnrow - I had left work at 3:30PM and arrived home after 8PM... my left knee was on fire from excessive clutch use - but almost 5 hours for a journey that normally took 40 minutes! 😶

M62 truck fire, seemingly the truck was full of sawdust and kept reigniting. Took me over an hour to get back from Stockport to Saddleworth.

I moved away from your area 15 years ago, the traffic was horrendous then. Yes it's the country life for me.

I wonder what car will feature on BITN this week , I wonder what Steve will say , I'm also wondering what products I didn't think I needed till wrong co convinced me , well I will find out in this week's instalment 👍👍. I had a long drive today 37 miles each way , all in the name of overtime, luckily the traffic was OK this time.

Either, Prestwich, m60 round to heaton park, onto the A road - to middleton/rochdale/milnrow, or, Prestwich back down Bury old Rd, left around perimeter of heaton park, down hill to junction with A Rd left towards middleton (as before)

The police close the roads for far to long. They should as soon as the fire is out have two lanes open 50mph speed limit going past, and let people go on their way. I think they like to get a bit of overtime money for standing around.

If vehicle fire damages surface, may be closed until repaired (all lanes 'for safety')

You have my sympathy sat in traffic like that, I lose the will to live in those situations. One thing with being retired is I can choose when & where I drive & at what times, I don't even consider going out at certain times because of traffic which aggregates my missus. BITN's was Ace this morning, thanks for the laughs.

How about feeling sorry for those on the other side of the motorway? The ones maybe doing more important/essential jobs, trying to deliver produce or materials? Maybe those trying to get to appointments, flights or hospital? Get over yourself Mustard, KZbinr/Influencer - shit happens. As your wife said, drinks and high jinks can always be rearranged. The best nights out are never planned! Stop moaning all the time, and, that video better be bloody good! Peace man 🙏
