They always gave me a good deal and, a few times, one of the mechanics did the job for free if it wasn't something terribly major because he was just that nice. Last year I lost that car, not because of a breakdown, but because someone rear-ended me on the highway and damaged it beyond repair.

If this is a USED CAR, then even WITH a 30 day warranty on the car, you should so your due diligence and take the car for a test drive, do a car facts check on the car to see its history and the status of the title and MOST IMPORTANTLY, take the car to YOUR trusted mechanic and get them to look the car over and see if its sound or if there's underlying issues that would make it a lemon. I didn't hear her say she did any of that. She just bought the car and IMMEDIATELY started having problems. This has happened to me before. Problem is, most used cars are considered an "as is" sale....and the owner of the car lot is just looking to make money. But seriously....she's not fixing the car over $50?
