My Dad said he didn't know how either, (not sure if he was just saying that) but I learned how to drive it back in the early 80's. Lived in Rochester, NY, one day we had black ice on the road, literally rolled it into a drainage ditch. I was more mad that I just filled it with $20 gallons of gas that emptied out. The roof was dented in and I somehow squeezed out the door. It was a green tank!

The only time I got a car at a used car dealership. They were upset I didn't want to finance it through them or buy their warranty. I went there with my pre qualified loan from my cu, dealership ran my credit anyway even though I told them no. Then kept saying they were gonna sell the car to other customer if they accepted to buy their warranty. I wanted to run out of there and cry but I stayed, call my CU agent and asked her to talk to their financing guy. That guy wrote my purchase ticket but "accidentally " added 1k to the price. It was a nightmare but I'm glad after being there all day I got my car.
