Getting a naxx weapon is pretty darn hard. Melee will always have prio on melee weapons, unless you want to give up your prio on the slavemaker. It's gonna take a good while before you can expect to get a naxx weapon as a hunter; In our guild it's even worse, because we're cursed to almost never have weapon drops. This curse has lasted through all the phases. We had a tank recently upgrade from his ZG axe. In naxx.

I've warmed up to the fallen god cloak over dominion a little after realizing that if we get TBC then the pet will scale with our stats. Let's say we do something crazy and take the non-melee weaving gear, but we switch one of the rings for Unnatural Forces and also switch the Prestor neck for the Stormrage neck since we no longer need the hit from Prestor's. In full phase 6 bis surv pulls ahead of marks only in the fights where you benefit from monster slaying and humanoid slaying. For Naxx as you fight mostly undead apart from 2 fights i think marks will always pull ahead of surv

Was this confirmed on ptr? I was pretty sure it would work for RAP... since they fixed all those buffs to also add RAP. They even fixed a few things that specifically said "melee" to work for ranged too, so I'd be really surprised if this didn't work for RAP.

Bm will be a good option only if you manage to keep it alive and uptime. i strongly believe that in that only case can out dps the other 2 specs, but you need healers on it and your fully attention

BM is only viable for short fights. Otherwise it falls behind MM.

also bm is kinda trash cause the pet doesnt scale with your stats. it falls behind any other spec in fights longer than 40 sec and also its very hard to keep your pet alive as you dont have the talents to reduce aoe dmg that the pet takes. These 2 changes are pretty much the main reason Bm was so op in tbc

Just one thing i dont get. Im pretty sure that +4 weap skill gives more than 0.8% hit. I know for a fact that for a hunter +5 to ranged weapon skill gives 3% hit. I play a troll and untill i changed Rockdelar I always stayed at 6% hit plus the racial and I never saw a single miss.

I'd have to see all of your gear and some logs to be sure, but weapon skill into hit is kind of tricky. It doesn't actually give you hit... weapon skill effectively raises your level. Like, if you're lvl 61 you'd be able to have 305 weapon skill. When you are fighting a lvl 63 (boss) mob, gaining 4 weapon skill is equivalent to 0.8% hit. I don't think I explained that very well.

@@Bigbobbedboi yea i know weapon skills works a bit weird. And regarding logs i could dig in discord to find some and as for gear i was bis phase 4 at 6% hit with Rockdellar as a troll. The thing is I intentionally payed attention to my logs as i didnt really trust the + weap skill from phase 1 when i got the bow till phase 5 when i got the xbow from nef. Quick update, I found raid logs from MC and BWL. If interested let me know mate

Sup. Took it off a rogue. I dealt more than him consistently and it allowed me to run +7 damage scope from then on until now. Same dude who complained we should move to EPGP instead of LC. Plus, that dodge is BiS.

@@ulogy this depends if you trinket swap bro. I use Renataki and Jom Gabbar in the opener so i dont want to be at 7% hit during my highest burst. After feign and swap to stat trinkets, yes its good. My choice was to stay at 9% hit from gear alone and use Eye of the Beast and Royas Seal (pre naxx ofc). No matter how you put it getting Dft on a hunter will always seem a huge waste for me

@@floreaciprian9742 I just risk it for the biscuit and go with 2% miss for my opener with Renataki's. Rarely have any issue. (Obviously don't risk it if you're tranq shotting.) Waste? Nah. Just takes a willingness to make it work. It is going to be shelved by the end of Naxx though. (Because you start bleeding hit gear everywhere.) Just don't take it off your tanks and I'd say it's fair game (Maybe be nice if they're a sword rogue that isn't absolute dog ass though.)
