These scenes are in the movie's extended cut, which sadly, didn't have an HD version yet.

those boring old pilgrims you hung out with last year 🤣😂🤣 that's incredible! I can't believe they took that scene out (read the Canterberry Tales if you don't get it)

Shane they were never used, their removal only added brevity and yet removed character, colour and some great writing.

They did use them, some of the scenes here, notably how they made the banner and the one with Chaucer's wife was in the extended cut on DVD. Sadly, they haven't re-released it on Blu-ray.

Love the scene where they come up the Triple Phoenix as their symbol; wish they would've kept that in. Nice symbolism of rebirth and renewals.

It also gives away the whole movie. Him rising to become a knight. Burning out and ending where they began poor and just another nobody. Only for the end to be the start once more. Such a perfect symbolism lost in the cutting room.

Why destroy a wonderful movie like this by taking out all these scenes that made the movie itself come to life utterly fantastic acting great writing !!what more can i say when they took all these scenes out which yes i have seen they uncut version when the movie first came out these scenes where in and then when the edited it and took all these scenes out it left me empty !!

I completely agree, removing those scenes made the characters feel more empty, when I rewatched the movie without those scenes it felt really strange to me
