When you pushed down the crown was there a delay around 2 seconds before the second hand started to move? That is upractical when you want to set time your watch very precisely. I understand it is mechanical watch so it does not make sense, but when I have new watch, i tend to set time exactly. Is it just me? :D

Awesome video man - one of my favourite Langes... but what's wrong with the zero reset here 6:46? It doesn't start straight away after you push the crown in (looks like 2 seconds delay before it starts running) - that kind of defeats the purpose (time setting accuracy with reference) Could you let me know? I'm seriously considering this watch, but if this is a quirk of the watch, I don't think I will shell out for it.

AB, for the date window, from the 1st to the 9th of every month, the "blank" window for the first digit drives me crazy. It throws off the symmetry completely.

What did you not like about the Traditionnelle? I'm considering having both this exact model and my current Traditionnelle in my collection but I'm worried about overlap.
@leyay75404 жыл бұрын
I don't think they would overlap too much. Traditionnelle is a great dress watch, balanced and elegant design with great details. However, its non-hacking movement is the deal breaker for me.
@NewYorkNewYorker4 жыл бұрын
@@leyay7540 I currently wear the Traditionnelle in rotation in a business casual setting every day on a casual strap, so I don't mind the no hacking seconds. If it calls for it, I'll switch to an alligator strap. For me, I think the Lange looks almost identical to it besides the big date, so I would likely wear it all the time instead and leave the Traditionnelle for dress only - and wearing it less would probably make me want to sell it!
@leyay75404 жыл бұрын
@@NewYorkNewYorker For me their similarity is only the small second arrangement, otherwise no more. Their cases, dial executions and most important, movements are all different. And both of them are good enough to share the wrist time.

Higher end Glashutte Originals have them too and also for less than Lange 308.25. If I were to critic Lange for their engineering, it would be why they never did the one of the most praised German watchmaking invention, flying tourbillions. They would make ordinary French tourbillions instead.

I have to agree that this could be the perfect watch (black dial for me). Quick question for you, WCS : Does it bother you that there is no 0 the first nine days of the month?

This annoys me as much as quartz second hand that doesen't hit the markers. Glashutte Original have made it lot better by making the first disk show 0. The blank disk looks akward in pictures.

ALS is not underrated, just not as popular as other brands. They are cater to a specific clientele and maintain a level of exclusivity with less than 5K watches produced per year. The Sax-o-mat with zero seconds reset is an astonishing movement, the finish is superb.
@petergplus66674 жыл бұрын
The fact that ALs watches cost what they may be worth doesn''t necessarily mean they are underrated. Maybe other brands are just overrated as f..k. And people maybe should stop hyping and just go with their lives and be some honest beings. Regards from Saxony.

Some constructive criticism - I love your videos, but there is a minor annoyance I would like to point out - you repeat yourself a lot, how many times did you say that this is your personal watch or that you own this watch in the first two minutes? I have the zero reset function on my PAM 574, but it doesn't have any minute markers, thereby, making the feature, effectively, useless. Kinda hilarious. Still cool, though.
@leyay75404 жыл бұрын
I think its zero-rest isn't useless, because that's for accurate synchronization of the second. By the way, it also has minute markers every five minutes, which still can be used to achieve an accurate synchronization of the minute. My Credor is like your PAM574 and I don't have problem to adjust or read it accurately.
@stephenbaumhauer25934 жыл бұрын
@@leyay7540 I know what it's for. I just think it's funny that they would choose to add the function on a watch with no minute markers. I'm probably not gonna wait around until we hit a five minute marker every time i need to set the time. So, I don't. And, I don't really use the function, though, as i said, I still think it's cool.
