A. Lange & Söhne are surpassing all the limits of craftsmanship and innovation. The movement is so detailed and the power reserve is incredible: 1,83m of spring length - can we imagine how thin this spring is?! The face of their timepieces is in general sober, typical german. The back is a marvel in horology. At least Mr. Schmid recognizes that the watches are very expensive, haha! He's a very outspoken and pleasant mister. I think the brand is on par with Patek Philippe or even better. It's a hard question. Great interview, Marc André. This channel is so cool as A. Lange & Söhne.

I visited the exhibition rooms in Glashütte and admired the history of Lange & Söhne and their work. Well, this kind of watch manufactory in Germany still exists. Glashütte has a few other watch manufacturers (Nomos, Glashütte Original/Assmann) Visit this small town with a great watchmaking tradition, it is worth it.I had a great day!

I’d like to shake that man by the hand. It’s incredibly rare to see someone at this level coming across as genuine in their enthusiasm for their product. Aloofness is usually synonymous with exclusivity (and desirability) but not so with Lange und Söhne. I love how the luxury element seems to be an accidental bi-product of just having exceptionally high standards without compromise... the Zeitwerk is a case in point where it is unashamedly functional which by some alchemy also lends it a beauty that it somehow never sought to have, which makes it original and all the more beautiful... the same can be said of the entire product line, which is a deserved achievement. Bravo Lange und Söhne and this channel for showcasing it.

ALS continues to broaden their footprint in stellar and timeless fashion. Dollar for dollar, you get more. From an investment point of view, it is a no brainer just from the prodhction numbers alone. Recent auctions prove that. Heir Schmid is a rockstar for the company. Approachable, likable, top-shelf and just the right dose of German.

Finally a likable CEO, watch industry is infamous for having arrogant and cocky CEOs, this guy is top class in my book! You speak volumes through your timepieces, that is elegant and enough.
