Winter time is maintenance time on the farm, sharpening, oiling, cleaning up and getting rid of things you don't need. Buggy is so precious and Elizabeth's so adorable. Buggy is going to be one smart and capable young lady, capable of doing so many things, Elizabeth will be the same. The boys will be amazing young men. You're both doing an awesome job with them.

I don't know about the green slime tire product but I know Sears used to make a tire additive that was excellent back when I had my small engine repair service that conditioned the tires as well as sealed up any possible flats even with people who lived around Locust trees all the time I never had any flats with this stuff in their tires. Plus it conditions the tires from the inside out so they last years longer usually.

😊 Ben, you are so right on staying caught up on maintenance! As I type this: fix corner fence posts, put bbq lines back together (repair shop didn't do it, jerk!), clear out the drain in my sunroof so it quits leaking into my car, pull weeds n shovel up compost, rebuild flowerbed bricks in my front yard (2019😢), put my washer back together, and rodent proof garage so the washer lines are safe..... on top of the regular stuff!❤🎉 Its 8/29/24, have fun tomorrow yall❤❤❤

I’m the maintenance Cryer for the JD tractor mower-we have now replaced All 5 pulleys in the past year (#5 transmission). When your kitten stops purring, you know right away. Transmission made -breaking noises but not losing power. Had to wait for the break. No cutting then. $25 later, purring.

Hi. Maintenance is definitely part of life and putting it off definitely creates drama. 😂 Maintenance is required on our bodies, our equipment, our vehicles, our homes, our families, our faith, our egos, our choice of how we view everything going on ... Yes. Patience is key and NOT PROCRASTINATING. 😂 You remind me of me. 😂

My dad was always on top of maintenance for vehicles and lawnmowers and tools! He always said this popular saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!” My dad is gone now, but he’s always in my mind reminding me of stuff. I’ve been trying to get that to sink into my two adult sons, when they have car problems that could have been easily fixed if they had listened to grandpa and mom! But now they are just learning the hard way, like we all sometimes do! I just keep praying for them! You got some hard jobs done and I bet you feel better for it! A little bit here and there and you will get it done! That quick meal looked delicious Meg! Buggy was so cute, helping clean! Baby is just as sweet and cute as always! The boys are such good kids in all they do around the home! You just have an amazing family!

Ben , I admire the example you set for your children. You solve problems of all kinds with focused determination. Today it’s stubborn equip that that does not cooperate with your maintenance efforts . Too many men would be carrying on like a toddler having a temper tantrum and spewing bad language . Your children are blessed to have a father who exercises self control when the job proves frustrating.

I finally caught up on your videos last night. Brakes on golf cart need readjusting. Yup, no braking isn't great. Safety hazard is a good reason to get to the "fussy" stuff. Brakes again! Oops! Brakes locked on. Darn! I'm glad waffies came to the rescue. You got the brake set satisfactorily. Good job! Lawn mower work! Tires and bearings need replacing. Wheel bearings bad too? I'm glad you had a replacement hub for that one that the hub was bad. That did look hard to put the new tire on. Wow, that one wheel didn't want to come off. I'm glad you finally got it off. Dry sleeve on that wheel. Good thing you had a good one from the bad hub wheel! I'm so glad the boys helped! I'm glad you're greasing up the front of the lawn mower. Yup, sausage nestled in seasoned potatoes. I made some hobo potatoes on the grill last week and they were so good. So great for summer and grilling. Great dinner Meg! Thanks for this maintenance issue video of the Hollar family!

I just so enjoy coming to you your channel and sharing everyday life it is calming and the way I grew up. I come from farm folk that was self-sufficient and independent. My grandmother grew up on a farm they did not have a boy to number 7 she would home outlet cylinder like they did on the tractors put it back together and off she go. We didn't have gender specifics in our family. Even the women were jack of all trades in the master of none.

I was the only girl with lotsa brothers. And do I ever remember changing tires on the hubs. We just used what we had around, as well. My dad could figure out how to fix anything. A couple brothers inherited that talent - I'm not as mechanical, but am a fix-it-person nonetheless. Watching today brought back important memories. The work could be tedious and downright hard - but that working together was everything. Thanks for sharing your "fixin' things day"! I loved it.
